Vince Russo was overheard making a comment after watching a recent episode of iMPACT! on Spike TV. This source stated Russo said something to the effect of that he "couldn't tell you one thing he just saw" after viewing an episode.
Russo said this in front of members of TNA's management and other staff, which included TNA President Dixie Carter, Jeff Jarrett and Spike TV network executives. The word making the rounds right now is that Russo is just as frustrated as anyone with the number of things he is being told to fit into each episode of iMPACT! every week. There is reportedly pressure to put everyone on TV every week because many talent get paid per TV appearance. Rather than adjust the current pay schedule, TNA management has decided to require that everyone gets a short segment every week.
It is also being said that TNA management wants Vince Russo to relocate to Nashville from Atlanta, where he currently resides. Based on what is known right now, Russo is said to be hesitant about making the move because of the lack of long-term assurances that comes with the role of a booker in the wrestling business. So, while there are no indications that TNA wants to remove Russo from his role right now with the company, he understands there is no long-term guarantee and making this move would be a big change for his family.

And the Russo haters get owned...
Though I admit I really should have seen that coming but didn't. I thought he wanted everyone fit in, not management. Makes me wonder though how different iMPACT! is after editing. Russo DOES watch every show in the stands does he not?

Just because he's force to cram doesn't make his writings good.

My point is that the main complaint I hear is that there is no wrestling, and that it's just a bunch of backstage segments. We just found out the reason. The reason is that management is making Russo get everyone on TV even if it's a quick one minute segment.
He's being forced to write so many segments I actually feel for him. Do you think that even Paul Heyman could pull that off?

It doesn't need to be all backstage segments.

This opinion may catch me some hell.
But it may be good idea for TNA to lay off some guys to get down to a manageable number. Just the useless guys.
And if it picks up in future and the get more TV time and then they can bring them back.
And also Russo still sucks as a writer.

Ummmm.. I dont get it. If talent gets paid per tv apearence wouldnt managment more than anyone else want to not have em just randomly pop around for a few seconds in a backstage segment so they can get a paycheck?
They are now geting a profit from the indie bookings of guys under contract, one would think its more productive to let guys you have no current use for go do their thing on the road so both the company and the wrestler can make some money than fly em in and pay them to walk around in a walker and diapers for a few secs...
My spider sence points to this being a load of BS but if its indeed real its the most stupid working model the company could have. Just pay them a small stedy salary, a decent pay per apearance and book em in indies a lot when you are not using them...

If they are FORCED to put everybody on television, I'd much rather have 30 second or 1 minute backstage segments than 30 second or 1 minute tag matches. That'd be an even bigger disaster.
The bottom line is that TNA needs 2 things: Better management and 2 hours.

It hasn't been relevant enough to warrant a book.

It hasn't been relevant enough to warrant a book. Wait. Books have to be about relevant things? Well, there goes my career as an author.
