What was story behind those four straight "Loser Leaves Town" matches?

Too Cold Scorpio was leaving for the WWfE and his run as Flash Funk. Because he was an ass, he called out challengers for matches where the loser would have to leave ECW for certain amounts of time (15 days, 1, 2 months). The last guy he faced, Louie Spicolli, beat him and sent him to gimmick-ville "for a year".

It's funny because he didn't wrestle another match for ECW until January 1998 when he faced Taz for the TV Belt.
