I saw this on nodq.com and thought it was interesting.
Jim Cornette has been very vocal at production meetings recently. Onlookers say it is hilarious how Cornette continuously challenges every point in the script written by Vince Russo that he thinks don’t make any sense. Jarrett and Dutch Mantel appear to totally respect Cornette’s opinions, no matter how harsh his words are.

Russo needs a counterpart that isn't a Yes-man. If they can put aside their problems, they could make a good show.

I dont like Russo's booking...
if I miss a week of TNA.. i feel like ive missed a month or even 2 months sometimes..
Russo tries to push everything so fast... hell, Samoa Joe and Angle shouldnt have even had their 1st match yet... make the fans want it more...

He wants to make it feel like you missed a month so that you watch every episode.
But yeah, Russo needs to be checked, and hearing that Cornette is finally talking to him is good.

I dont like Russo's booking... if I miss a week of TNA.. i feel like ive missed a month or even 2 months sometimes.. Russo tries to push everything so fast... hell, Samoa Joe and Angle shouldnt have even had their 1st match yet... make the fans want it more... I'm the exact opposite. I like the fast storylines, and the car crash TV. All thats missing is the damn wrestling... |

I 100% agree. He does have the ability to sometimes book real exciting crash type angles. He just has to realize that the majoirty of the fans want to see matches. Especially TNA fans, who got used to seeing a lot of good wrestling. There used to be a "This is Awesome" chant during almost every match on a ppv. It got chanted once combined during the last two ppvs. So he's not even pleasing their loyal sheep any more. When I watch their ppvs the people who seem to be pleased out of the very few are people who don't seem like true wrestling fans. Such as people wearingTeam Eckstein shirts and a guy holding a sign that read "we are wrestling" during a fat oily guy segment. Obviously displaying that he has no idea what that title once meant. And is still supposed to mean.
When I watched TNA prior to Russo's booking. It seemed like more true wrestling fans were going to the shows. Fans who even chanted "ROH!" during a Roderick Strong Austin Aries match. I bet if that match took place now the Impact Zone would be dead because now thanks to his booking all those fans have been driven away.
So all in all goood for Cornette. Atleast somebody back their is voicing their disaproval. Hopefully Jarrett and Dutch see the light. And either straighten Vince up or send him out the door.
