I did this thread over a year ago, before the passings of Eddie Guerrero, Earthquake, Bam Bam Bigelow, and now Mike Awesome. I didn't bother searching the archives to bring it back; instead, I figured I'd create a different version to pay tribute. That was my first real attempt at "fantasy booking," and this is my second. I hope you can enjoy it for what I intend it to be: a tribute, nothing more and nothing less.

The Heavenly Wrestling Association recently debuted, and after a grueling eight-man tournament featuring Bam Bam Bigelow, Mike Awesome, Earthquake, Eddie Guerrero, Kerry Von Erich, "British Bulldog" Davey Boy Smith, and "Ravishing" Rick Rude, it was Andre the Giant who stood proudly with the HWA World championship in hand. The final match, pitting Andre against the quicker Guerrero, was said to be an amazing match, with Guerrero using his quickness and technical ability to try to neutralize the Gian't s distinct size advantage. In the end, however, it was all Andre, as Eddie succumbed to a flurry of offense, finished off by a Vader Bomb. (just because I wanted to see it.)
The Tag Team titles were also decided as the team of Rude & "Mr. Perfect" Curt Hennig were able to narrowly defeat The Public Enemy in a tournament final, when Rude put away Johnny Grunge with the Rude Awakening as Hennig had "Flyboy" Rocco Rock neutralized with his "PerfectPlex." The match was violent - just the way PE likes it - but in the end, the technical expertise of the new champions won out.
"Flyin'" Brian Pillman became HWA's first Junior Heavyweight champion, winning a three-way dance against both Owen Hart and Chris Candido. While Candido was making the cover after the "Blond Bombshell" finisher, Pillman landed a top-rope springboard legdrop to the back of Candido's head, made the cover on Owen, and scored the pinfall.
Here was the tournament bracketing for each title.
HWA World Title Tournament
Round One
Eddie Guerrero pins "Ravishing" Rick Rude with the frog splash
"British Bulldog" davey Boy Smith pinned "Texas Tornado" Kerry Von Erich after a running powerslam
Bam Bam Bigelow pinned Mike Awesome after the GFAP
Andre the Giant beat Earthquake with his own move, the Earthquake splash
Round Two
Eddie beat the Bulldog by DQ after tricking the referee into thinking Smith hit him with a chair
Andre defeats Bigelow with a big elbow after BBB missed the top-rop headbutt.
Finals
Andre beats Eddie with the Vader Bomb

Ugh ... writing all of that depressed me. If anyone else wants to contribute, please do, but also please keep it tasteful. I mean no harm or disrespect with this thread; if the Mods see fit, I won't complain about a lock, either. Anyway, that's all I've got on this subject at the moment.
