I am not a big TNA fan and would call myself a casual watcher of TNA. One guy that sticks out every time I watch thou is Petey Williams. He seems to have it all. My question is, why do you guys think that Williams isn't Main Eventing?

He's midget sized. Not too well on the mic. But other than that, he's super.

Williams seems to usually be more over with the casual TNA fans.

I thought Petey was sweet as X-Division champ with Team Canada but he hasn't been used all that great since TNA went to Spike. He should have atleast been in the PCS.

another reason why team canada breaking up was a HUGE mistake.

Because he's never worked for WWE and he isn't Joe or Sting

It just doesnt make sense too me. He seems alright on the mic, can work his butt off, does have some size compared to other tna X wrestlers. This guy just screams too me can't miss.

^ Hmmmm that makes sense. Has anyone besides Aj, who have been in the main event ever taken a Canadian Destroyer?

Sting: No Abyss: No AJ Styles: Yes Christian Cage: Maybe Samoa Joe: No Way Rhino: No Kurt Angle: No Scott Steiner: Forget about it! Petey deserves to at least be in some sort of title hunt. He could have an interesting feud with Sabin now that the heel/face dynamic is reversed.

Him and Sabin do have good matches together
That is one key ingredient if you want to be a wrestler and hope to be a main eventer: Make sure your finisher can be done to almost anyone.

He DOES have the Sharpshooter, y'know. I mean, he's always kinda had it, but it became more of his moveset when Daniels started to make fun of him as one-dimensional in their short feud in 2005.

That said, he really needs a new finsher and save the Destroyer for the big time matches.

I can vouch for the Sabin thing. If only Sabin was face. Then without D'Amore, we'd have an AWESOME X-Division title match between the two, just like at Turning Point 2005 (sans ending).

i dont think petey will ever be a heavyweight title contender, mainly cuz his size (ok ok if rey rey can do it maybe...but thats wwe and it doesnt really matter in that case) but his ability really gives him the opportunity to be a HUGE X-Div contender and i would assume/hope succsessful X-Div champ.

He already did become a successful X Divison champ. Then bad things happened.

I'd also like to see more big things from Petey. Although the Destroyer is an awesome finisher, he needs an alternative one as well. Sharpshooter is fine, but it's becoming a Canadian cliche. Hmmm...maybe that'd be a good name for his variation on the sharpshooter.
