No, especially since he didn't so much as team with Angle as he got backstage assaulted by LAX.

The casual Impact fan loves Petey because of the Destroyer. That said, he could very easily adopt another Canadian cliche that's less used than the sharpshooter:

Lance Storm's Canadian Maple Leaf.

Hell, even a superkick or (I'd love to see this) Crippler Crossface is all that's necessary. Give him D'Amore back (actually, give him someone else, like Shane Douglas - the only person D'Amore seems interested in getting over is D'Amore) and have him play the HHH heel, the one who does everything he says he's going to do because he's that damn good.
