Ok so I said on a previous post that I would describe an Independent Show I attended so here it goes....Just for warning it was bad.
Ok to start out they had an announcer who you oculdn't here all night who was tryin to be like Jim Ross. Came Out sounding like The Great Khali.
Anyway onto the show...
the first match was a guy named I think "The Japanese Love Machine" I thought ok there might be a gimmick or osmethin to work with. but what you got was a typical small Indy gimmick..of a guy who was bearfoot and had a silver mask and sweat pants. The dude was a little overweight went for a stinger splash n the corner and literally bunny hopped for the splash. His opponent was I guess The Brooklyn Brawler's long lost relative "The East Side Brawler" and of course they were bothf rom Brooklyn ,NY. Anyway for being the first match I thought I would give it a break...but my thought was it owuld be the perfect way to keep me intreested by putting a good match together rather than a probably 4 minute squash.
Next was a match i'll skip over cause that's how fast it seemed it went the finish was basically a Randy Orton rest hold that knocked the person out by submission.
The next match honestly was good had one worker who has potential the problem is he's not that great of a worker. The guy I thgink was "Nitro" or somethin to that nature..so I thought he would be a Johnny Nitro clone well I was a little right the "Nitro" wrestler did a pretty good Tennessee Jam or Alabama Jam leg drop from the top rope. he also broke out the SeanTon Bomb that Sean O'Haire used in WCW but it wasn't a great maneuver it was basically a blown spot where the guy was goin to do a splash but pushed off to hard and it basically ended up in a SeanTon. Another funny blown spot was his oppoenent (forget his name) climbs up the top rope...(might I add that they both climbed back in the corner and rope by rope to the top rope) and anyway his oppoennt got up there stood for a second and just stepped right off and they both just stood there. Anyway it was a last man standing match but numerous pinfall attempts were counted and numerous pinning maneuvers were done to fast forward a bit the finish of the last man standing match was a running clthesline takedown that Chris Jericho almost always did in his matches. the Match struggled.
Next match was a match against a guy named "Survivor" and Decap or somethin anyway...The Survivor guy looked like T.L. Hopper with tights instead of jeans. Decap kinda resembled Disco Inferno during the ending days of WCW. Anyway Match was brutal Survivor had 3-4 moves a fireman's carry takeover (from his knees)...clothesline...Samoan Drop...and TKO as a finisher. Survivor looke dlike Lex Luger becuase he would just drop numerous clothesline after clothesline then do a foreman's carry takeover and a resthold. To speed things up a bit...the 1st finish came when the Disco wannabe and him tied up collar and elbow and just lifts him up in a fireman's carry...hist the TKO...then fake Disco's female valet came in and hit him in the back of the head with I believe her fist he dropped like a sack of potatoes...he dropped liked he was shot...well actually he flopped or dropped or whatever like Jackie Gayda's blown spot on Raw the spot in the match was goofy funny. then that same valet rushes around as her man covers ol' Survinor climbes through the ropes actually does climb theourgh the ropes stays in the ring and holds down his foot the ref actually is looking at her doing this then goes down and counts three although the ref was crosseyed so yeah who knows. Anyway that match gets restarted and like a minute in he hits a TKO for a finisher.
So i'm bored out of my mind then comes an interview segment where they're gonna interview a wrestler well this Abyss looking character comes walkin down talkin like if The Great Khali and Umaga had a love child. Anyway the guys was like 6'5" or 6'6" 250 lbs. his manager was "The Judge" the dude was no James Mitchell but looked like someones crazy grandpa....anyway to get to the point he challenges someone the Nitro dude fomr earleri comes out I guess it was supposed to be a squash but the squash took 10-15 minutes...and the Abyss wannabe actually got knocked off his feet shoulder block..by a 5'10" 180lb. wrestler anyway it was brutally bad.
Anyway there were a few other matches that I missed becuase I stepped away for a few minutes anyway I might post more crap fomr this later.
