So where does Homicide go from here? Part of why Homicide may have lost the belt was the whole TNA thing. Part might have been that Gabe wanted to give him a tribute reign that, unlike Punk and Gibson, wasn't called a "tribute" reign. He got people to think that Cide was in it for the long haul. It's quality manipulation. But given that Dragon is out, Joe is leaving, Reyes and Romero are set up to feud, Low-Ki is gone permanently, and most of the other upper-card and midcard talent in ROH is booked into feuds right now, what can Homicide do now?
He might use this opportunity to head full time into TNA and take a push in an expanded LAX that requires him to step up more in Konnan's stead (I know he's there, but still).
He might be added into the Reyes/Romero feud.
Here's my question: has Homicide become an ROH legend like Samoa Joe such that he can't go heel? Or could Homicide pull it off? Since he has nothing left to prove and nothing presently to do, would it work to have the return of crazy Homicide?
Imagine BJ Whitmer getting attacked from behind by Homicide as he walks to the ring next Friday. Cide beats him down, cop killa on the floor. He grabs a chair Corino-at-FB02-style and sits in the ring waiting. Morishima comes out, sees the dead body on the ground, looks up, sees Cide in the ring, and charges. Impromptu title match. Cide wins back the belt. Then in Chicago the next night, the tag team main event becomes four corner survival for the ROH World Title. Nigel wins.
Nigel has built in feuds with the following:
-Jimmy Rave, who has beat Nigel so many times thinks he deserves a shot
-Homicide, who absolutewly snaps at losing the title twice in a week
-Colt Cabana, in a turn, who's tired of being a goofball, tired of being stuck in a tag team, tired of not being a World Champion [edit: Cabana stops the goofiness much like Jimmy Jacobs wouldn't "huss" anymore. People would be pissed if they got NO shenanigans of any kind for the long haul.]
-Morishima, as well as the rest of NOAH, where he has been a star himself
It would be the most un-ROHish thing ever...so Gabe does it. And Crazy Homicide wreaks havoc for months and months until something happens.
