Since Terry Allen was given that gimmick based on the show "Magnum P.I.", does that mean he was a wrestling private investigator?

I dunno, but how would WCW have been different if he hadn't had his career ended so suddenly?

I dunno, but how would WCW have been different if he hadn't had his career ended so suddenly? Well, all I know is that it would have been a lot better.

Magnum was BELOVED by, well, just about everyone. And I'm not a Flair fan, but it's not like he couldn't have a good match with anyone but Flair, the guy could carry his weight against anyone he was paired with. His future would have been bright, and he would have been one of the top stars in the NWA/WCW for many a-years.

He looked like Jake Roberts long lost twin. I often wonder what would have happened if he never had the accident, and later went to the WWF. He probably would have been booked in an angle with Jake no doubt

I have always wondered how things would have been if Magnum T.A. was given a stable that had a black guy, a short British guy, and another short guy.

Since Terry Allen was given that gimmick based on the show "Magnum P.I.", does that mean he was a wrestling private investigator? I always thought Jason Knight was the go-to guy when it came to checking out wrestlers' privates. Ba-da-BUM!

I used to think his finisher was awesome. Now its hard to imagine it was ever a finisher.

Now if Magnum hadn't gotten injured, do you all think Sting would've became a house hold name?

I wonder if they had to pay for use of the name Magnum.

WOW!!!! The times sure have changed. That move is so common place that is practically impossible to think of it as a belly-to-belly suplex.

Or, as David Crockett would yell:
"BELLY-BELLY!!!BELLY-BELLY!!!"
Maybe it was just because it happened so fast. You could never leave during a Magnum TA squash match. They'd play up the fact that he holds some sort of record for most matches won under 30 seconds.

I always liked Magnum in that gimmick he would have been too much of a Southern type wrestler to work for WWF but he would have done well in the NWA.

Magnum had one of the best Belly to Belly Suplexes I have seen, he really delivered it with a nice deal of snap. Pretty much,in terms of push and overness, Bill Goldberg was what Magnum would have been had not the accident happened; the only difference being Magnum was a far better worker in pretty much every facet imaginable. An extended World Title feud with Flair probably would have generated enough interest to keep the NWA on par with the WWF and Hogan in terms of popularity.

magnum TA would have been definately a better world champion than ronnie garvin was. magnum was one of the few guys that looked like he could beat flair and be a credible world champion.
at least this magnum was better than the next magnum, that is tokyo magnum or magnum tokyo, whichever you prefer.
