and they had all those weird vignettes of people from all sorts of walks of life talking about how they saw or talk to the undertaker? my fave was the upholstery guy who said the undertaker asked him to upholster his coffin, lol. they even had a spread in wwf magazine showing pictures people supposedly sent in from all over the planet, showing undertaker in all sorts of locals(even the taj mahal!). anyone remember this, lol?

I remember like the first wrestling tape I ever rented had Leslie Nielsen searching for him. Ahh the memories.

Yea, that was absolutley perfect. My compadre and I remember it as one of our favorite cheesball angles as kids. I loved this Domino adds that had Leslie eating a pizza on his PD ofice wile investigating UT's deisapearance and Takers shadow would walk by his front door with him comleatley oblivious about it because his Pizza was so good. I got "He Burries them alive" just for the Taker vs Faker match. LMAO!

I remember that well. In fact, I saw the Undertaker at my local arcade at the Westchester Mall playing Mortal Kombat. He was Rayden.

Being a young kid back then, I was totally expecting him to show up in my house.

They should do this sort of thing again.
Maybe have Teddy Long searching for him.

Oh yes, I remember this. And I also kept an eye out for the Deadman.
There was this one vignette I remember, where a bunch of kindergartners saw 'Taker and told their teacher. One of the kids said he saw 'Taker on the swingset.
I have that WWF Magazine with the photos of Undertaker sightings. I recall a picture of him with some joggers at a park (yes, he was running in the picture).

I remember that back after the casket match from the Rumble. I marked out on that, because I was a kid. I always thought, maybe Taker was on vacation, but he stayed in character, since everyone knew who he was and started a commotion, he would move elsewhere to find peace.

I liked the one where some guy in a deli said the Undertaker came in to order a sub sandwich. All that undertaking makes one work up an appetite for subs from the Carnegie Deli.

I just remember watching this and thinking, "Man, the longer they keep with these sightings, the longer it'll take for them to bring him back."
Also... it's probably just fuzzy memory, but I seem to remember when Dibiase brought him back... it initially WAS Calloway, because I remember a tug of war between he and Paul Bearer.... Dibiase holding money up, and Bearer holding the urn. Undertaker eventually went with Dibiase.. but this was right after he had wrestled a match, or at least just obliterated someone. Shortly after that, I remember Bearer saying he's not the real Undertaker... and only after that did he appear to look different.
Again, could just be fuzzy memory playing tricks on me... but do you think it's possible that the initial idea was to actually turn Undertaker heel and have him side with Dibiase, but after a few weeks they decided to go with the Underfaker route?
