Perhaps I missed something, but why was Diesel defending America as of he's going up against Yokozuna or something?
But either way, very good promos from each dude.

I just remembered how much I hate Backlund's "crazy" promos. It has all the insanity of an Ultimate Warrior promo without the energy.
I also remembered how much I liked the Diesel character. I'm still a Kevin Nash mark. It seems sad, but it's true.

Im the same way, when he was champ I was an 8 year old mark, I just like Nash's charisma which I think kept his longevity.

Nash is damned underrated. Sure he killed many careers, but damn was he entertaining doing it.

Good promos, but lets remember that this fued spawned what is still to this day the shortest WWE title match where the title changed hands at a mere 6 seconds.

Hard to believe that Backlund was so dull his first reign and so entertaining/crazy when he came back.

It's too bad that Diesel wasn't as good in the ring as he was on the mike.His constant fist clenching during his promos always made me laugh.
