I watched the preshow and other then Del Ray beating some student not much happened.
Nigel d. TJ Perkins.
-A solid opener, nothing to special, Nigel looked good and its a shame he didn't have a higher profile match.
Austin Aries d. Claudio
-Another solid match, but nothing special. Aries wins with a 450 splash. Afterwards Aries calls Strong out.
BJ/Colt/Daizee d. Jacobs/Pearce/Lacey
-This was a good match that went all over the arena. There were a couple of close calls that looked like Whitmer and Jacobs would repeat their Dragon Gate Challenge spot from last year. It also looked like Jimmy Jacobs was going to sodomize Colt....
The Briscoes d. Steen/El Generico
-My MOTN by far. Generico and Steen NEED to come back. Tons of near falls and just a great fun match overall.
Samoa Joe d. Jimmy Rave
-An ok match, a bit boring though. Its a shame Joe's last match in Philly couldn't have been better. Rave looked ok as did Joe. Nothing great but it was watchable. Afterwards Joe thanked Phillys fans and what not.
Intermission
Roderick Strong d. Delirious
-Worst match of the night by far. a 20 second count out finish. Strong powerbombs Delirious on the guardrail and then 20 seconds of nothing goes by and its over. Gabe came out and checked on Delirious who was carried out. Possibly a legit injury
Matt Sydal & Fallen Angel d. Jack Evans & Shingo
-The second best match of the night. Lots of spots and Evans was as hot as ever. The crowd was split for much of the match. Daniels did the robot. A bunch of near falls and another fun match.
Takeshi Morishima d. Homicide
-Third best match of the night. Crowd was split on who to cheer for. Morishima looked great. Funny part of the match came when Smokes said something about pork fried rice and a bunch of black guys flipped him off. He hit 2 backdrop drivers but Homicide kicked out. He then hit a lariat and a third backdrop driver for the win and the title. Crowd is surprised but most cheer. Then Whitmer and some students come out but Morishima in full heel mode beats them up grabs the belt and walks out.
Great show overall, it sucks the they are waiting until June to come back. ROH needs to come to Philly more often.
