Pretty much until Scott Hall debuted in WCW, I always thought of WCW as "that weird promotion where people got DQ'd if they threw someone over the top rope". So I never really saw much WCW in the late 80's and early 90's, especially none of the PPVs. But major props to the people that voted in Spring Stampede '94 for WWE 24/7's "Pick Your Big One", as usually some pretty mediocre ones are picked over better PPVs. This PPV was all-around solid, and had some really great undercard matches, capped off by the amazing blow-off match to the epic Flair Vs. Steamboat feud.

Yeah one of my favorite WCW shows. Check out the show after this, Slamboree 94. That was even better.

That was one of WCW's better PPV events, I saw this also on 24/7 yesterday and hadn't seen it in over 10 years when I rented it from my video store, the street fight with the Nasty Boys vs. Payne/Cactus was sick and Vader/Boss was pretty stiff too. Great card overall.

I have this PPV on VHS. Its a really good PPV. The matches are great from beginning to end, and the Chicago crowd, as always, delivers.

I love how as soon as Cactus Jack hit the cement Tony and the Brain were silent for a good 30 sec.

Yeah one of my favorite WCW shows. Check out the show after this, Slamboree 94. That was even better. I found a VHS of Slamboree 1994, popped it in, and was pleasantly surprised. Great PPV with some very good matches. The best part was when they interviewed Lou Thesz and Verne Gagne after the Nasty Boys VS Kevin Sullivan and Cactus Jack Street Fight for the WCW Tag Team Titles. So surreal. Also, the Terry Funk VS Tully Blanchard match should have gone on longer.

I also highly recommend Slamboree from the same year. Cactus Jack/Kevin Sullivan vs. The Nasty Boys is one of my favorite Foley matches ever, and there's a lot more to enjoy from it, including an awesome WCW Hall of Fame induction ceremony performed by Gordon Solie. I have no clue where you'd find it nowadays, but I still recommend it.

Yeah, and also, I don't know if you'll specifically recall it, but Wahoo McDaniel's promo on Bobby Heenan is brilliant.

Wasn't this during the time that Flair got the book in WCW?
That was a pretty sweet high point. WCW was stacked with talent for a good while, even before the nWo.
