At first, mixing up 2 different threads, I thought this thread was "If Hard Gay ends up on TNA" and it sounded dirty.

No difference. At least not a noticeable one that would matter in the long run.

It would be incredibly beneficial for the short-term.

Eh, Hogan maybe good for a big buyrate every once in a while but hes seriously not the name he thinks he is and everyone thinks he is. Kurt Angles name TODAY means more then Hogans name today IMO. If he was so big then why did XWF not get a TV deal?

Paul Hogan hasn't done anything mainstream enough since '01's Dundee in Los Angeles , and it was a flop. So, naturally showing up in TNA will make no difference.

You have a point, but on the other hand, Hogan got his own TV show on VH1 solely on the strength of his name recognition.
I'd have to think Hogan appearing on TNA would make some sort of difference.

It may be financially beneficial, but it'd further bury the original TNA roster. Guys like Daniels, Joe and Abyss could/would suffer as a result, due to a reduction in screen time and exposure, and it's those guys who TNA need to build to be the main stars of the promotion in the future.

What would be really smart would be for one of these companies to try to talk Hogan into a regular on-air role, but one where he is not wrestling. That way, they could regularly feature Hulk on their program, but not at the risk of burying their talent.

'It would make matters worse for TNA'
The Orange Goblin doesnt come cheap or does jobs. If he goes there he will be there just to put himselve more over witougth giving the rub to none, He will charge a preaty penny wich will further lower the morale of guys making like 300 bucks wich now dont even include expences....
Once he leaves Hulkamaniac viewers will likeley leave with him. he will lower the standard of wrestling there and would alienate some of the original fans that actually enjoy good wrestling, even Sting who was brougth on the same nostalgia viewers reason is still decent on the ring, Hulk is just crap.

IF (and thats a big if) Hogan could leave his ego behind, it could turn out well. If not...things can get worse, ya know.

You know if he went to TNA, it would be just so he could get back his loss to Sting at Starcade'97. Ala WCW bringing in Ultimate Warrior.

It would help pop a rating outright for a short term aid but Hogan's BS would screw them in the long run
