There would have been no CZW; Nick Mondo, JC Bailey, Nate Webb, Messiah, and Necro Butcher would've wrestled in ECW instead.

It would be WWE on Spike and ECW on USA. That would have sucked for ECW in terms of creativity (not in terms of finances or exposure). The USA Network would've censored the hell out of ECW, in a manner equal to - if not worse than - TNN did.

Let's say Paul got his head on straight and got some financial help, so it never folds. As the history of ECW changes, so changes the history of wrestling as a whole. ECW goes mainstream, and is able to balance "sports entertainment" (with more emphasis on "sport" than "entertainment") with it's hardcore roots. I see ECW being the #2 promotion, and ROH being #3. TNA folds within a year like XWF, not being able to get a TV deal like WWE and ECW, and not being able to build up a following like ROH. In the years that have passed, some guys jumped from other companies, while some went to WWE and came back after being released. I see the ECW roster looking like this: Tommy Dreamer (as always) Sandman Stevie Richards (after being released from WWE) Elijah Burke Test (after being released from WWE; just I think Paul would've made something out of him) Sabu CM Punk New Jack Frankie Kazarian Axl Rotten Balls Mahoney A.J. Styles The Dudleys (after being released from WWE) Justin Credible James Gibson Kid Kash Christian York Joey Matthews Human Tornado Matt Hardy (after being released from WWE) CW Anderson Vampiro Mike Awesome (after being released from WWE; yes, Paul would've taken him back) Shark Boy Jerry Lynn AMW Angel Jay Lethal Tajiri (after being released from WWE) Jimmy Yang Simon Diamond Roadkill Chris Chetti Rhino (after being released from WWE) New Age Outlaws/VKM/James Gang (after being released from WWE) Sorry for being so long-winded, but I wanted to give an idea of how mixed the roster would be. I know there are plenty of indy guys I missed, but I wanted to concentrate mostly on who they would have from today's WWE, TNA, and WSX. Or, as another post said better: Basically, all the indies that formed after 2001 would have never happened as ECW would be a gateway for new indy talent. ECW was THAT important.

Him too. I knew I forgot a lot of guys, but I'd like to figure that most of the guys who were around in 2000 or 2001 would still be with ECW, if they hadn't jumped to WWE.

I was sort of kidding around re: Chilly Willy, as no one seems to have taken him seriously. Granted, his moniker was silly (Hmm... "Silly" Chilly Willy ;D), and he had no real gimmick, but he was a decent wrestler & worker. I'll never forget the way he solid a pile driver that Rhino delivered; Chilly Willy bounced maybe 4 feet into the air. It was the 2nd best selling of a pile driver that I've ever seen - second only to the way that RVD sold a pile driver from Tommy Dreamer.
