Stel chairs really aren't that heavy. Using aluminum would not reduce the weight much at all, would cost a fortune for something you are only going to use once (seriously, per lb. the price of aluminum is much, much, much greater than that of steel, plus it would have to be custom made), and would not have the same sound as the $10 steel chairs that they do use.
