Seriously, when did he go from being eccentric to being bat dropping insane? In the days of old, from all accounts, he used to be far more approachable and far more willing to listen to the opinion of others, even if he wasn't too keen - see the Attitude Era.
So when did he turn into the complete nut who had a roid rage episode on national tv, had serious discussions about buying playboy tv, came up with Katie Vick, and let his inner circle of people that he actually listens to wither down to merely Steph and Dunn. And that's just the tip of the iceberg in regards to his behaviour in recent years.
What happened?

Gotta be the XFL. One of the most ill-conceived disasters in McMahon history, and it still is the butt of many jokes.
So, what about them "HE HATE ME" T-shirts?

I think he started going nuts when he started believing all the people that were calling him a "genius". When you start to believe your own press, that's the start of a slippery slope.

He was crazy long before the XFL.
The creation of the XFL just proved his craziness.
I think it was the higher power angle that showed me Vince was crazy. He got so caught up in how over the Austin feud was that he booked himself to be the centre of a huge angle and thought it would get over. Ever since then he's been completely delusional.

I don't think he lost it. He is still making money hand over fist and still has people watching so he's doing something right.
That said, the Katie Vick incident really made me think he had lost it.

I'd say it's a mixture of all of them. Next question is: when will he step down?

Honestly, I think buying WCW is what made him snap. He went so drunk with power he thought he could do anything, from s****ing on an entire company's legacy and their stars, to....well...Katie Vick...

Next question is: when will he step down? When he's dead or incapacitated. Well, with advances in genetic engineering, this could take awhile. Now, I'm depressed.

Vince suffers from Steinbrenneritis. This is the midlife crisis stage. in about 5 yrs he'll back off and hire Stick Michaels and Joe Torre to run things, then apear "statesmanlike. moght have to help out with the olympics a couple times. We can iron out the details later.

The XFL. He had to be a total idiot if he thought that was really gonna be a success.
No wonder why so much of the general public view him as a putz and WWE as a joke.
