Exactly what thing got RVD heat in the first place? Was it
1. Not wanting to go to Iraq for the Christmas show
2. Getting busted at the traffic stop
3. Being an ECW Original
I've heard varying reports on what caused it in the first place, and I'm curious to know, because it seems like some guys can have transgression after transgression (Orton) and still stay in good graces with the boss.

Unlike CM Punk's reports, you kind of see RVD losing over and over and over and over again on TV (barring last week of course). I'm more able to believe this stuff.
I'd guess it was 2 years of not going to Iraq as well as that traffic bust that according to some "MAH GAWD STAINED THAT COMPANY'S GREAT REPUTATION!".

Yeah.. I heard that RVD is getting heat until he signs another contract. But why would he sign another contract if he is already getting heat for other things? So they can continue to job him?

Traffic bust, Injuring Trips, not going to Iraq or being sloppy in the ring. Take your pick.

Was there anybody else who didn't want to go to Iraq? It would be interesting if there was somebody else who didn't want to go but didn't get punished as heavily as RVD does...
and he is getting jobbed out like crazy, regardless of the still impressive pops he gets from the crowd.

I just hate to see a wrestler like RVD not being used for anything at all. (Besides putting midcarders over)

I thought his match with Edge on RAW was really good, made me want to see a TLC match or ladder match between them. He will probably be in TNA soon though.

Apparently the guys backstage are tired of him getting his butt sweat everywhere.

Especially since I recall the reports saying that if you didn't go, you weren't going to be depushed or whatever. It was actually REALLY voluntary. Probably that being the only one who didn't go made him look bad.

Was the Iraq trip taped before hand or was it live? becuase i'd pick staying home with my family for the holidays than going to Iraq any day of the wweek. But hopefully RVD starts to get a push with this ECW vs. WWECW fued.

Maybe people are tired of seeing him stretching all the time.

I wonder if the troops ever find it strange they're doing a CHristmas themed show WAY before Christmas. Then again, probably not. They're probably just happy they can get a show.

The troops probably enjoy whatever entertainment they get offered, considering how dangerous Iraq is.
The Iraq events are probably the only WWE events I can think of where they don't charge at the gate.

RVD's been hugely over for years, if they were smart they would've kept at least the ECW belt on him and used the arrest thing to promote him as rebellious and edgy, the perfect champ for the ECW brand. WWE's reaction was hilarious. So one of the worker's getting busted with weed gives the company a bad name? And I suppose exploiting the death of a worker, the company chairman getting employees to literally kiss his ass on national television, necrophilia storylines etc etc etc give the company a good name.
