Right now I'm watching the 1994 WCW Spring Stampede on WWE 24/7. During the Rick Rude/Sting match I heard different, yet familiar music for Rick Rude's entrance. After thinking about it a bit I remembered it was Jamie Knoble's old theme!(From when he was with Nidia)
EDIT: This is also when the WCW title was called the International World Title and Rick Rude was champion.

3 & 3/4 of the WCW themes on 24/7 are dubbed....... I refuse to watch that crap
Unlike WWE seems to think, themes are important damn it

Gather up a mob we are headed to Stanford. But seriously who cares? Yeah, I don't really care. Sure, Rick Rude's WCW song was great; but I don't watch wrestling for the entrance music. I watch it for the wrestling.

I watch it for the wrestling. Often a wrestler's theme song is a huge part of their character..... WWE removing classic themes like Demolition, Jive Soul Bro, nWo, etc (and pretending they never existed) is pure crap.

They keep the NWO music, Demolition's is still there, and so is Jive Soul Bro for WWE 24/7. I have to make a list or something about who's music is dubbed over on WWE 24/7. So far the list is as follows:
Raw Is War theme (Attitude Era) Alex Wright Jim Powers Chris Jericho (first WCW theme) Flyin' Brian Hollywood Blonds/Steve Austin (WCW) Brad Armstrong Vader (WCW)
I'm sure that there are others, but I don't know yet.

EVERY THEME WOULD BE BETTER IF TEH WORD \"WHAFFLEZ\" WAS SHOUTED IN TEHM.

Wrestling is Wrestling
Music is music
They're good together
But by no means does that mean if a theme music is redubbed that the match/show is ruined. Its all about what goes on in the ring not whats playing in the arena.

I saw the weirdest thing last night. I was watching some Wild Police chase type reality show and when the cops started chasing the perps Jeff Hardy's music was playing in the background. Definite WTF moment.

Rollin' was dubbed over.
And Kurt Angle's music was originally the Patriots. I couldnt imagine anyone else with his music...

Often a wrestler's theme song is a huge part of their character..... WWE removing classic themes like Demolition, Jive Soul Bro, nWo, etc (and pretending they never existed) is pure crap. It never ceases to amaze me that the WWF didn't have the foresight to get use of the songs permanently. I guess they never saw future potential in their product at the time. Who would want to watch this crap again? So, the WWF was unable to negotiate a deal for Flyin Brian's old theme music. The write/creator of that song is sitting on a goldmine and damnet he will hold out for every dollar. This is what the WWE needs to do. Radio stations have to log every song they play for a few weeks of the year. That log acts as a sample and determines royalty payouts for artists. The royalties/collection of data are handled by some independent corporation. The WWE needs to hire that company to dole out fair use royalties for all the past themes etc.
