From the Blazer to the Game......

So I was just watching summerslam 99 and I was wondering had he not died how would owen switch from the blazer to the game. Since I have read that Owen was supposed to be the game and not HHH how would the transition happen? Would he screwed out of the title by a jealous Jeff Jarrett and then snap and do another enough is enough and then an I am the game promo.

Also watching the SS match I remember reading that it became a triple threat because SCSA didnt want to job to HHH and Owen was in the same boat because Austin didnt like him. So Mankind wins and then HHH wins the title the next night that coulda happened easily if owen was the game. So that could have been his chance to be WWF champ.

Anyways how would you have booked it?

I would have had the Blazer win the IC title from the Godfather, then about 2 months down the line, Blazer is in danger of losing the title. Ref is unconscious. Blazer (owen) vs. Val Venis, Jarrett goes to hit Val but hits Owen by mistake, ref wakes up, val covers and wins the IC title. Blazer then turns face over the course of a few months by sneak attacking jarrett and costing him match after match. This would get owen over HUGE, who would work his way up to main event status by Survivor Series 99, where he would challenge Triple H for the title. Just as owen is about to win the title, Jarrett comes out and costs owen the title (jarrett signed a new contract after his old one expired, so he's still in MY wwf). With Austin now on the shelf, this makes Owen and Rock the top faces and Triple H and Jarrett the top heels. Tag match the night after survivor series with Owen/Rock vs. Triple H/Jarrett. Owen snaps, and beats up EVERYONE (hhh, jarrett, referees, rock) and re-becomes the black hart. He goes on a HUGE heel-like push and even defeats the Rock at the December ppv. Triple H is a tweener, and goes up against Owen at Royal Rumble for the title. Owen LOSES, but still goes on Raw and attacks every guy in the locker room (angle, jericho, big show, jarrett, rock, rikishi, test, kane, mankind) and then comes out and gets on the mic and says "OK I was cheated out of my title. I outsmarted EVERYONE in that locker room tonite, I out maneuvered everyone back there and showed them why I am the Game! I am this business! I am the best wrestler alive today!" Out comes Foley, Rock, Jarrett, Big Show, and Jericho. They all tell him to shut his mouth and he's proved nothing by sneak attacking everyone. Triple H comes out and tells him too bad, before turning to the Rock (who won the rumble the night before, earning a shot at mania). Vince them comes out and makes a HUGE announcement, the first ever Armageddon Hell in the Cell at No Way Out, the winner to go on to wrestlemania and fight triple h for the title. Owen wins the match, making him the number one contender against the newly face-turned Triple H. Owen goes to mania and FINALLY wins the title as a HUGE heel, saying he's beaten everyone in the business, from Bret Hart to the rock to jarrett to triple h. He is THE GAME! Owens next feud would be with Chris Jericho until King of the Ring, where owen would win after an AMAZING series of matches, and Kurt Angle would win KOTR and become the number one contender for the title at Summerslam.
