Can any U.K Crappers tell me why WWE has started showing old SD! matches in the middle of Smackdown!?
I mean last night they showed Kane vs. Mr Kennedy.....from 2 months ago. Is there any point to it?
Does anything happen in the 20 minutes the old match is on or is it just a way to make the show the correct time?

Make the show the correct time, I guess.
I actually quite like it when they go back and we get a match from a couple of years ago, but when its one that happened like 2 weeks you think "What's the point?"

I would be happy if it was a mid-card match from 2003. That sucks though.

I was wondering this too, apparently it's to make up for time. Apparently, they also show this during Raw, but I watch the live edition so I don't catch it.

It's quite annoying i agree.
Especially when it's a match from 2 Months ago.
The only old one they have shown ive seen is Chris Jericho vs Hulk Hogan from 2002 i think.

Yeah, I saw JBL/Rey from 2004 and Hogan/Jericho from 2002 which piqued my interest in it, but for the past couple of weeks they've just done matches from a month or two ago.
They have it on the Thursday repeat of Raw too. Caught a cool Trips/RVD match from 2002 a few weeks ago.

Yeah this week it was Trips/Jericho versus RVD/Flair a couple of weeks before Unforgiven and Flairs heel turn and RVD pinned HHH! I enjoy them to be honest, I'd prefer if they also show matches from the attitude era though. They used to have a from the vault segment on the old 'Access' show hosted by Coach and Trish/Terri. It was the only good part of the show!

No idea maybe people in the UK are tuning out during promos? To be honest I usually record the shows on Sky Plus and I do fast forward through a lot of them!

Edit:- Everything I've said has already been said. You may now all beat me with giant toblerones.
Because Smackdown finishes 15 minutes early when they have 2 hours to get through. Its just filler. I actually don't mind it. A few weeks ago it was Chris Jericho vs Hulk Hogan in 2002. Stuff like that is cool to see again.

They should fill the time with stock black and white footage of old toothpaste commercials.

Smackdown was on my TV while I was on the PC. So I wasn`t paying much attention to it. I heard someone shout "JERICHO" and went through to see what the hell was going on. I saw Hogan fighting Jericho and thought they`d both returned to Smackdown this week.
So I was like, "Amazing, Jericho is back!" until I realised it was an old match. Felt like an ass.

I could understand it if they were showing matches from 6 months ago, as it would be as if the WWE were saying "look, we are getting better at doing this"
