I don't get the hate on Rey. I mean Rey was once said to be the best Crusierweight in the world and everyone used to say how great he was. Now people say there better Crusierweights out there. Yea and how many of them work in the WWE? Rey healthy is a great talent.
Mysterio could have been a creditable champion if the WWE booked him right. Which would have been not jobbing out every week. I don't get why everyone is crapping on something he really had no control of.

Its really pissing me the f*** off how much of an ass a lot of people in this thread are being. A man may have to retire, its not really appropriate to be making your smart-ass comments about how you won't miss him. If you won't, great. Keep it to yourself, a lot of people like him.
Rey has always been one of my all time favorites. Sure, in recent years I can admit that he's been less interesting, but I still really enjoy his matches. And if he couldn't come back, it'd be a huge blow to the WWE right now, who need all the help they can get, especially from someone as over as Rey.

Mysterio is a very special wrestler, there probably won't ever be another true cruiser like him to get as over as he has with the WWE audience, people will neve understand/want to believe it, but it's true. Mysterio prime > 99% all other cruisers (including Mistico)

Rey sucks. Things can only get better if he doesn't return. Of course, this only means that TNA will sign him, despite his crippling handicap.

Mysterio prime > 99% all other cruisers (including Mistico) and 95% of the current WWE roster. Fixed. Mysterio is a victim of bad timing and worse booking. He was in line for a main-event push before Eddie died. Would he have won the title? Probably not. But he would have been in title matches. A combination of bad timing (Eddie's death) and worse booking (the sympathy insertion into the main event) made his main event push look more like a mercy push than the well deserved push it really was. The booking of his title run was nothing short of abyssmal. In the fans' minds, it cemented his push as being a "mercy push" that he didn't deserve and couldn't handle. Had he been booked properly (read: not jobbed out to the ENTIRE smackdown roster), I think we'd be remembering Rey's title run as one of the highlights of 2006. Mysterio is a very gifted wrestler, and one of the top cruiserweights of all time. Fact. Mysterio has more talent than 95% of the hosses on the roster. Fact. I'd rather watch a good quality Mysterio vs. <insert midcarder here> match than some of the no-talent hosses holding various straps right now, such as Batista, Lashley, Umaga, etc. People love to crap all over rey because they can't tell the difference between a bad wrestler and a good wrestler booked badly. Rey is the latter being treated like the former.

It's kind of sad how people have turned on Rey as if he had any control over the way he was booked.
