I was listening to Wrestlecrap radio and they were talking about the best heel of all time. Made me think of who is the best alot of names came in my head. Here's the ones I can best think of. I think it's a cool subject and figured I wanted to see what everyone else thought. If I had to say I go with either Vince McMahon, Triple H or Mr. Bob Backlund since I have never seen people boo anyone as bad as these guys.

DiBiase. The crowd HATED his persona. He could work the mic, and was a great wrestler.

Vince works the whole IWC with his persona, and he makes everyone hate him, so he gets my vote

Flair. In the mid to late '80s, I cannot think of another man as hated as him. Always having the belt, having the Horseman's help, constant DQs or count outs to lose but not lose the belt and just the over all playboy character.
A close second is Hogan although eventually, I just got sick of him and stopped watching when he was on.

The greatest heel of all time, as far as generating heat is concerned would probably be Georgous George.
You've left some glaring omisions on that list. In my lifetime I'd pick Roddy Piper. Iron Shiek and Volkoff sure got alot of boos in the cold war eighties too. Flair, especially in his WWE run is up there, as was Roberts. Mr. Perfect should've been on there just for sheer awesomeness.
Modern times I'd go with HHH.

Has everyone forgotten how great Rick Rude was as a heel?

I have decided and in my mind it's Bob Backlund. Also his storyline was the best how he was screwed out of the world title and all that time with out the belt made him mentally snap. Just perfect. No heel had a better storyline than him. The obsessiveness was just perfect and too bad he was in 1995 in 1997 or 1998 it would have been even better. Also his promos were amazing seriously I can't think of a charchter better than heel Mr. Bob Backlund.

It's all about innovation for me, and the man that introduced what a heel could and should be gets my vote. That man is Classy Freddie Blassie

Hogan gets mine, I mean, you couldn't have a better heel that early nWo-Hogan. The fact that a few days before, he was like the ultimate face, it adds to the impact of the heel run!
