I keep hearing about how Sylvan Grenier "screwed" Hulk Hogan in a match against The Rock. I haven't seen the match, and I've gotten no information on it thusfar, so I have to turn to you: what happened? I know Sylvan was refereeing, and I think the event was in Canada, but that's all I know. (was WrestleMania in Canada the year they faced off?)

To put it simply, the lights went out as Hogan pinned Rock and when they came on Sylvan was KO'd. Vince helped Rock take advantage with the chair with Sylvan suddenly getting up as though nothing had happened to him at all to get the pinfall.
My memory is a bit shady, but that's how I remember it.

Sylvan was the referee for the match from No Way Out 2003. Sylvan hadn't debuted with Rene DuPree as La Resistance yet, so he was treated as a normal referee, until he screwed over Hogan and bragged about it on Raw the next night.

I remember watching that match and point out to my mom that, the ref was new and to big to be a ref.
