While I think the Perfect match against Bret Hart at Summer Slam '91 is easily my favorite, I have always felt that the Perfect/Doink Qualifying Matches for the '93 KOTR are underrated.

He wrestled Nick Bockwinkel to a 60-minute draw in the AWA.I want to see that one someday.

Perfect/Bret 91 is my favorite............
the 93 KOTR match was way too similar...with almost the exact sequence of moves.....

I liked Perfect vs. Show when he hit the perfectplex on Big Show, only for him to kick out and do the kip up. Man that blew my mind the first time I watched it. <<<<. Agreed.

Probably not his best match. But one that hasn't been mentioned yet is Roddys Rowdys vs Rudes Brood at survivor series 89. Perfect puts on an awesome show in that match and does his OTT selling at its very best. Probably the match that made me a true fan of his.

v Bret at SummerSlam 91 easily.
And also the "loser leaves WWF" match against Flair was really great.

I really liked his match against Tito Santana on SNME in July 1990. I have this on tape, hadn't seen it in years, but when I saw it again......wow. He made Santana look like Hogan and made the crowd actually believe Tito was winning the title. Excellent match which will probably never be talked about.
Though, I too will follow the crowd and say Bret at Summerslam 1991. It was his best high profile WWF match.

Wow, reading all these posts and seeing that video montage on Monday made me realize how much I enjoyed Mr Perfect. I wish he would have had a WWF title run, but even so he has a great legacy to be remembered by.

I did love that match, complete with Santana missing the Flying Burrito (thank you, Brain). It was a tremendous match, but then his work at the time was all good. The build up of the WM match was great, and the rematch was coming around nicely when Beefcake ate a face full of parasailor's knee to ruin it all.

Often forgotten that I think were great were his series of KOTR qualifying matches with, believe it or not, Doink the Clown. They kept meeting the time-limit draw, but instead of simply eliminating both competitors, they kept redoing the match each week, extending the time limit. They did this either three or four times, until Perfect won the last match.

nice to see all the replies, i guess Bret vs Perfect at Summerslam 91 has won out as the best match match, you guys have good taste! the other matches mentioned sound cool.
Did Perfect ever lock horns with the Undertaker or the Warrior, i don't remember ever seeing them 1 on 1 in my youth!

Bear in mind, this was Evil Doink. Evil Doink was great, and Perfect was, well.... Oh yes, Evil Doink ruled. Why did they turn him face? Was it after Matt Borne (who ruled) left the WWF? For some reason they turned him face and gave him a midget sidekick as a result. 1994/1995 was bad for cartoony, hence crappy, gimmicks. Oh by the way, Perfect's best match has to be Bret at SS91. Not an original choice, but its in my top 5 of all time without question, bearing in mind he was injured I believe.

I'm not sure about 'Taker, but he went 1 on 1 with the Warrior on quite a few occasions. Just after Warrior won the World Title, Hennig was his first real challenger on the house show circuit. I know at least one of those matches was released on one of Colisuem's old tapes. And I think another one may have been shown on Prime Time at one point.
