Someone please find me some Battlestar ratings or Sci-Fi Friday ratings so I can figure it out.
Unfortunately, the ratings this week weren't much higher than the average for ECW on TNN (Friday nights) which had about one tenth of the marketing support that ECW on Sci-Fi has.

And how exactly does ECW fit with the theme of Sci-Fi Channel? The two go together like bananas and hot sauce. Can't think of a worse match between a channel and a program

Of the NBC/UNiversal nets, It's just in line with the demographics they're looking for. That's why SciFi execs wanted more sci-fi themed wrestlers, and why we have Kevin Thorn and *yummmmmmm* Ariel.

I don't know about you but, I do not think of ECW when I think of monster trucks, the Grand Ole Opry and Hee Haw reruns. I think of early WCW when I think of monster trucks, the Grand Ole Opry and Hee Haw reruns.

I think of early WCW when I think of monster trucks, the Grand Ole Opry and Hee Haw reruns. It was called "The NEW TNN" and became less country-oriented when they started showing ECW, I remember hearing people complaining that they weren't showing enough country music videos anymore. Sci-Fi is still a majority sci-fi oriented network...that shows one wrestling show a week for no apparent reason.

It wasn't The NEW TNN until the around the end of ECW when they signed RAW and changed their focus. And they still showed Monster Jam up to the change.

In all fairness, aren't the ECW ratings still much higher than Sci-Fi's average programming? Well, here are Scifis top shows as of the begining of the month. ECW 1.7 Final Destination 2 1.4 The Hollow 1.4 Ghost Hunters 1.1 Jake 2.0 1.0 Final Destination 1.0 Legion of the Dead 1.0 Heroes 1.0 Cabin Fever 0.9 Star Trek: Enterprise 0.9 Source: Nielsen Galaxy Report, 1/29/07 -- 2/4/07

God people must really have nothing to watch if they're going to watch the piece of crap Final Destination movies.

True, but the block of programming that ECW was attached to was widely considered to be a "trial run" for getting WWE in the first place. It was certainly more action-oriented and "Spike-TVish" than anything TNN had aired before. Sci-Fi hasn't made any drastic changes in its programming other than airing ECW. ECW doesn't seem very "Sci-Fish" to me, WWE did the vampire thing back when it was airing on USA (which didn't air sci-fi oriented programming).

God people must really have nothing to watch if they're going to watch the piece of crap Final Destination movies. you'd be surprised what people watch on SciFi, what seems like the worst movies imaginable get 1.1s and higher pretty regularly. Heck, Grendel scored a 1.7 and Gryphon got a 1.5. ;D
