I mean man, I was watching an old tape of edge back in what I call the Shiny pants face version, dude the guy was in pretty damn good shape and not that bad looking... I know he was on roids when he came back from the next surgery, and he said he went off them, but does he even hit the gym anymore? He has like a white trash body where, in his words, he looks like "the world's thinnest fat guy"...  |

If anything Edge looks a little bulked up to me from where he was. He's lean like Orton, but I wouldn't say skinny.

I remember reading about how he jokes that he doesn't think WWE favors muscular guys, since as soon as he stopped going to the gym, they gave him the WWE Title.

He's definitly slimmed down a lot since he came back from the neck injury - but it's also interesting how much skinner everyone looks when they're not oiled up and in the bright lights of the ring. That first picture is from the Iraq show, where everyone looked lighter because of the natural light.

He's WAY too skinny. He looked great before when he was bulked up a bit more, but are you trying to tell me now I'm supposed to believe for a second that this guy could tackle somebody the size a John Cena to the ground with his frame? Yeah right. The Spear was never a believeable finisher for Edge.

A much reduced move set is the curse of the main eventer.
Plus he isn't allowed to make Cena or HHH look bad.
To be honest, i guess he thinks, "Hey, i'm a two time WWE champion. why should i change now?".

He was skinny when he debuted, too.
When he came back from surgery, he had apparently been on the Triple H Road to Recovery. During the Matt/Lita/Edge/Edge's wife deal, his wife publicly stated "He's on roids. He started taking roids when he was hurt. Edge likes roids." It was so blatant, I imagine that got him to stop.
It's not the body that makes him look like a skinny hobo. It's the clothes. In the words of Arnold Drummond, "Clothes DO make the man!"

I've noticed that he's a LOT skinnier than he used to be. I remember when he came back from his neck surgery, someone in a recap of the show commented that he looked like a capital "T." Here's a pic from his return:  I think he's probably healthier now that he's off the steroids, but it looks like the guy hasn't touched a barbell in months. I think a little more definition would help him, though. |
