Ever just come across an old tape you have?

little backstory... I just bought a dvd recorder recently, and I've spent a little time here and there archiving old stuff on tape that I just could never bring myself to throw away no matter how little I've watched it, or how many times I've already seen it... Anyways on to the wwe portion of the story...

So far, I've found out that I still have the original Raw Roulette, It was nice seeing a masked Kane win a TLC match clean and by himself against the Dudley boys, Edge and Y2J, and RVD & Jeff Hardy... and then the part I completely blocked from my memory, HHH comes in aned "Kane you're a murder, do you remember Katie Vick?"

It turns out I still had part of my Raw is Owen Show (and unfortunately I found out I taped over part of it with the Raw Roulette), and dude, I can't believe it's been 8 years, and it's a trip seeing all the guys no longer on the roster and even more amazing the people who still are... Friggin Mark Henry doesn't look like the predator, Jeff Jarret Looks exactly the same but stuck in the midcard, friggin Debra, Test not on Roids...

And right now I'm rewatching my hbk vs. Benoit in Arizona tape... that was a damn good match and video package...

Maybe it's the "things were better then" mentality, cause for all the crap I remember reading when these things first happened, watching them now, forgetting the stupid build up or the crap that happened afterwards, this crap was really entertaining... I mean Jericho, Pre-captain charisma with the old opera theme song, kane with mask, Edge didn't look like some weird skinny hobo and used his edu-cution submission instead of his hug of death, Jeff Hardy with his body paint spasms, Evolution, Shelton was over, Angle didn't look like some crazy old gym teacher like he did in his last few months in the E...

O yeah and The gold rush tournament, Heel HBk the week before and after summerslam, Kurt/Shelton, and Y2J's last match

btw... Damn, I forgot how hot Lita was at the beginning of the Matt/Edge thing, and she wasn't even wearing her slutty top yet...

When I was in High School about seven years ago I was looking for a tape to tape Raw and came across a tape of Saturday Night's Main Event when Andre the Giant beat Hogan and sold the title to Dibiase. Talk about a hidden gem.

i went to a lil junk type store an was pretty cool with the owners an he gave me these 3 tapes for free, they were the first ever royal rumble taped on the usa network, a snme from nov of 1985, and a old 87ish nwa. Great stuff.

I just found my copy of WCW Slamboree '96. My God, I loved that year.

Also, my copy of RAW is Owen shares tape space with the series finale of Melrose Place. Weird.

I found a tape that my brother must've recorded at the time of that exact SNME. A hidden gem indeed.

Today's WWE doesn't have Curt Hennig, Sting, Disco Inferno, Tony Mamaluke, Norman Smiley, Shane Douglas, Vampiro, Dallas Page, or Bret Hart.

DDP vs DAVID FLAIR?! Vampiro vs Dr. Death w/Oklahoma?! Hennig in a terrible tag match, Smiley in a horrible hardcore match, Douglas guess commentator, Bret Hart in the match that ended his career (and also finished in another horrible re-hash of the "screw job" finish)

Honestly ;D If this was WM, many posters here would kill themselves. The ONLY good match is Jarrett Vs. Benoit ladder, and Jarrett was working his 2nd match of the night.

Call me crazy, but I kinda liked David Flair. And Oklahoma. And Steve Williams was awesome.
