I don't even know if I phrased this right or if these choices make any sense at all. I basically want to know if you think that having HBK and Taker as the big challengers this year is right for business..while leaving younger guys like Edge and Orton far out of the picture.

It's called the showcase of the immortals for a reason. So as long as they've still got it, then no problem.

Edge is a 10 year veteran and stolen the show at many a 'Mania.
While UT and HBK are older guys, Cena and Batista (old as dirt maybe but, not to the 'E) are not. As long as they help get the new guys over, then I don't mind. If the younger guys are good, then they will step up and do something to steal the show like usual.

The problem I see is like this:
Smarks are in such a rush to get younger guys to the top without thinking about if they are ready and if they actually have the ability to be at the top.
But when you halt the flow of younger guys, then the problem is that all the main events star older stars that just don't have it anymore; see WCW.
We just need to find a medium.

I couldn't think of any better main event Wrestlemania matches than the two they picked. There's no better opponent for Batista than Undertaker, and there is no better opponent for Cena than HBK. Period.

why is "For the love of God, no more Hogan matches!" an option?? if memory serves me correctly at the last 15 WrestleManias there have been exactly TWO Hogan matches!
WM18 vs. The Rock WM19 vs. Vince
taking the Hogan hate a bit too far are we?

Seems to me that the one's who don't want to see any legends at Wrestlemania are the same peope that don't enjoy anything about WWE at all so quite why they'd care so much about a company they claim they don't watch and a ppv they say they won't order is quite bemusing.
From my perspective if Wrestlemania doesn't have legends it's just an ordinary PPV and it NEEDS to be more than that.

I'm finally accepting the fact that the ones i grew up with aren't gonna be around forever, and I just can't get used to the newer, current generation of stars with a couple of exceptions, so I wanna see Taker and Michaels as much as I can, maybe it's selfish, but hey I do honestly feel they still have it too

As long as they can provide a good show they're more than welcome.
The problem arises when the Legends are overshadowing the "future" stars and the booking make the old guys look much better than the rising stars.
There's nothing wrong with having Veterans in the main event, but they'd be there to put over (in a way or another) the opponents, instead of squashing them.
HBK Taker dominating the Rumble was a bad call IMO, even worse having them pwning Edge and Orton, or Kennedy and MVP respectively in the last few months.

if someone can put on a good match, it doesnt matter about age, size, appearance, race, gender, whatever to me. if 112 year old ric flair can wrestle better than foetus kenny, put on flair, if kenny can wrestle better, put him on.

I hope The Undertaker wins. I hope Shawn Michaels wins. I hope Hulk Hogan is on the card. I hope Ric Flair has a highly promoted match.

I don't mind as long as they are fully active wrestlers.
