I think Shiek was referring to McMahon Sr. I've noticed that most of the old-time wrestlers really like McMahon's father.

If Heenan is to be believed, Shiek basically has a "job for life" in manner of speaking for not bolting with WWF title when he had it to, I believe, the AWA. Also, refusing to break Hogan's leg during their MSG title match.
The McMahon's appreiciated Shiek's loyalty and will always use him.

I wonder how much money Vince paid for shiek not to shoot on hogan on the ultimate anthology in his interview segment. Man was I dissapointed in that one.

I have listened to his interviews and he explicetly said he was Muslim. Yeah that's right. You can't be both, and I've heard him talk more about being a Muslim on youtube. Sometimes I just think Sheik has really confused himself. |

I've got a DVD where he holds the Maccabean World title and there's a huge star of David on the belt. In the interview before the match (which was a classic BTW), Sheik rambles about his "Intelligent American Jews". |

If Sheik has a job for life, he sure hasn't been punching his card lately. When's the last time he was on the WWF payroll? 1997? And he didn't exactly get the Sultan over now, did he?
My guess is that McMahon's relationship toward the Sheik is the same as the relationship you'd have with a crazy person who saved you from getting hit by a bus. You're grateful, and probably you always will be, but the guy is still a loon and you don't exactly want him hanging around your house all the time.
