As announced on RAW this week, "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes will be inducted into WWE's hall of fame on 3/31. No other names have been confirmed by the company, but we can now confirm that RAW announcers Jim Ross and "The King" Jerry Lawler will also be inducted into the hall of fame this year. No question, both deserve the invitations. The Wild Samoans - Afa and Sika have been contacted, and one would assume they will also be apart of the 2007 hall of fame class.

Sorry, didn't realise this you already posted this. I don't care. It went over like Trump/Rosie. I honestly want to know what people thing about JR and King getting in though. It just seems to soon.

I agree, it'd be like inducting a wrestler on the current roster. I don't think anyone should be up for a spot in the HOF while currently active on screen.

I don't know...they both deserve it, but it does seem too soon. Considering the amount of potential guys (and gals) left in the business that deserve a spot, I think good old JR and the King can wait a couple years.

I wonder if JR and King getting inducted means that they aren't going to be announcing RAW for much longer.

I wonder if JR and King getting inducted means that they aren't going to be announcing RAW for much longer. Not likely. JR just signed a new 2 or 3 year talent deal and as long as King is sitting on the majority of the Memphis library he has a job.

I actually wish they saved the King/JR induction for a little while, just for the emotional burst I'm sure many would get, if we got to see them for the first time in several years, both really old, walking onto that stage side by side, one last time. That's what HOF should be all about right there.

I think thats why they should induct them now. IT's the same arguement I use to push the Terry Funk bandwagon, he will never retire properly so he should be inducted now unless you wait till after he dies.

I'm not a big fan of current employees getting inducted, although Ross & Lawler certainly deserve it.

Ross and Lawler deserve it, but shouldn't they be retired before being HOF bound?

Ross and Lawler deserve it, but shouldn't they be retired before being HOF bound? We can say that about Hogan also, and its not like Lawler, and King are active wrestlers.
