Does anyone know how, or have a link to a video of when the whole ministry angle began? I don't think I've ever seen it. I mean, I watched WWE at the time, so I remember the ministy angle, but i can't recall seeing how it all started.

The ministry or the Corporate Ministry? Man, when the corporate ministry formed, just seeing so many bodies on the raw stage, so many odds to overcome (where was Cena when you needed him?). Undertaker, Paul Bearer, Triple H, Vince, Shane, Bradshaw, Faarooq, Edge, Christian, Gangrel, Viscera, Mideon, Bossman, Pete Gas, Rodney, Joey Abbs, Chyna. Might have been more there but thats what i remember. DAMN! Seriously, imagine Cena around back then.

Ken Shamrock, Test, Big Show ... all future members of The Union! ;D I know they were all members of the Corporation at one point, but I don't recall if it was the Corporate Ministry or not. And the first Ministry-related thing I remember is Dennis Knight (Mideon) being "abducted" and coming out the next week looking evil.

Nope, this was all after WM 15, and big show turned face at 15 when he punched vince. Shamrock and Test were out by then, and Foley was never in the corporation.

I remember the Acolytes kidnapping people and throwing them into a dark room. Is this real, or a figment of my imagination?

No, that was just another example of JBL hazing people. Unfortunately it just so happened to be caught on camera.

I remember the Undertaker and the Acolytes abducting the returning Mabel before he could enter the Rumble in '99. I believe either later that night or the following night 'Taker renamed him Viscera.

I don't recall how the Acolytes got recruited, or even how they got paired up, but I vaguely remember the "creation" of Mideon: he was abducted by Faarooq and Bradshaw and "turned to the dark side" by the Undertaker (don't recall if we knew it was the Undertaker at the time, though)...

The night after Undertaker and Kane fought at Judgment Day '98 for the vacant WWF Title (which neither guy won because Austin was guest reffing), Taker and Paul Bearer had reunited, and Taker said that not only did he admit to setting Kane on fire as a child (you don't happen to hear that anymore these days), but that he was going to eventually form a Ministry of Darkness. Nothing much happened Ministry-wise for a while, but after he lost the Buried Alive match against Austin at the Rock Bottom PPV in December, he came back a couple of months later, this time slowly recruiting members of the Ministry, which included the Acolytes, Mideon, then Viscera.
You're welcome.

The Jackel(sp, aka Cyrus the Virus) paired them up after he was kicked out of the Oddities, or he left them, don't remember what happened. They had a bunch of Devil related names I remember before they settled on Acolytes. Jackel disappeared without explanation (I think he was fired then went to ECW because he was the Network guy after this angle occurred).
I think the Ministry was created when they abucted Mideon, which wasn't directed by the Undertaker but done by the Acolytes. Later on (next week or later in the show), Undertaker showed up to turn him evil and it was revealed that they worked for Taker.
I think that's how it happened. I don't remember it all.

I remember Foley being alligned with Mr. McMahon, Pat Patterson, Jerry Brisco, and Shane for a while... back when he started wearing the suit and false teeth, hair in a pony tail, and sported glasses..... was that pre corperation or post?

Jackal was their manager when they debuted as heels. Once they started getting face responses, Jackal was replaced by (I believe) Luna, and then Sable, before falling off the face of the earth entirely.

Then the following week I believe he came out as Mideon saying "hes coming" or something along those lines. Then Mabel was abducted during the rumble match, and came out on RAW as Viscera. Qucik question on The Minstry. Wasn't there a special (Saturday Night's Main Event-esque) called Smackdown, before Smackdown actually properly debuted as a regular weekly show, that was important in the Ministry timeline?

Vince was "grooming" Mick to be the WWF champ before Survivor Series 1998. They had the big tourney for the vacant title and the final was Mankind (w/Vince) vs. The Rock (who was a tweener at the time).
Vince then screwed Mankind (ala Montreal) and The Rock turned into the "Corporate Champ."
