Its too early to be making any real calls, I know. But nonetheless, in these two, I see definite potential. They both remind me a great deal of Benoit and Malenko when they debuted back in the real ECW. They are both talented, and you can just tell the future has great things in store for them. That is, given recent events, barring a screw up on their parts. I actually hope to see Burke and Punk have a prolonged fued, harkening back to Sabu and Tazz. The striker vs. the grapper just makes sense. And If that match they had while back is anything to go by, if they were allowed to gain experience together and get a solid routine down, they could give some great matches together. But this is just my take on it.

See I hope they have Punk at first not take any sides and say he is staying out of it and just wants to just have competition and dosen't care. Than at the PPV with the huge tag match. The originals are dominating and of course the ref is down Punk comes out looking like he is on they're side but destroys them and throws Burke on Sabu. Wakens the ref and he counts to three and the Extreamists win. Than Punk does his classic heel straightedge promo saying how the original ECW violated all of his morales of no alcohol, no drugs and no promisus sex and never could side with them because he is straight edge and better than them. That is what I'd love to see.

I hated Elijah Burke back in OVW... and I don't hate him as much now.

Are they the future? yes.
In the same company? Maybe.
Working together in said company? No
In different companies? More than likely.

It's weird how they said Elijah Burke is the face of the New ECW and it's done in a heelish way. I think Burke would have gotten over in the old ECW. As a matter of fact, I think Burke could get over really well in any promotion in wrestling right now.
They both had a tremendous match a few weeks ago. I'd love to see more of that.
