You're Vince McMahon. You've been given the task of booking WCW One Night Stand. You have nearly unlimited resources, any former WCW wrestler, not currently employed by TNA, is available at your expense.
This is like ECW ONS I, where its just for nostalgia purposes. There are no fueds leading into the card, no titles on the line, just good 'ol 'rasslin, WCW-style.
What would the card look like?
Here we go with my own personal WCW ONS...
3 Count vs. Prince Iaukea, La Parka and Juventud Guerrera
Rey Mysterio vs. Ultimo Dragon
Chris Jericho vs. Billy Kidman
Dean Malenko vs. Chris Benoit
Dustin Rhodes vs. Steve Austin
Booker T vs. Diamond Dallas Page (w/ David Arquette)
Dennis Rodman vs. Karl Malone
Big Show and Scott Hall vs. 2 Cold Scorpio and Scotty Riggs
Triple H vs. Undertaker
Vader vs. Ron Simmons
Vince McMahon vs. Eric Bischoff
Hollywood Hogan vs. Goldberg

I'd go with:
-Chris Benoit vs. Kevin Sullivan-(insert name of city) Street Fight, with them ending up in the bathroom like the GAB 96 match.
-Dean Malenko vs. Chris Jericho w/Ralphus (sporting the tights with 1,004 on the back)
-Interview w/the reunited Harlem Heat about facing the Outsiders, ends with Col. Rob Parker and Sister Sherri requesting to come out with Booker/Stevie one last time.
-Blitzkrieg vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Billy Kidman vs. Gregory Helms
-Promo of all the WCW Champions who've held the belt, purposely keeping Arquette off it.
-Raven/Saturn (donning the dress from 99) vs. West Texas Rednecks (Kendall/Barry Windham)
-Ric Flair vs. X-Pac
-Hall/Nash vs. Harlem Heat
-DDP vs. "Hollywood" Hogan w/"Easy E" Eric Bischoff
-Ends with typical Nitro ending, where Hogan gets DQed as he's being pinned and the entire nWo/WCW lockerroom empties in a big brawl, with Tony Schiavone exclaiming "WCW LIVES!!, WE GOTTA GO, WE'LL SEE YOU NEXT TIME ON NITRO".
Of course, WCW doesn't have the following that ECW had, or it would have it's own show now too, plus WWE (and WCW did it to themselves) made the promotion look like a complete joke, so it'd be pretty hard to get everyone to follow it.

3-Count (Karagis, Moore, and Helms) vs M.I.A. (Hugh Morrus, Chavo, and Lash Leroux) w/ Major Gunns and Hammer MIA gets the win when Gunns shows Karagis why she's called "Gunns", allowing Lt. Loco to creep up on him and get the pin.
Evad Sullivan comes out with his rabbit and says how honored he is to be on the PPV before Ernest Miller blindsides him and takes him out with his martial arts. Miller (w/ Sonny Ono) cuts a promo calling out anyone in the back to come out..here comes NWO Black and White music....it's Scott "Flash" Norton. Miller acts like he's seen a ghost. Norton no sells his kicks, demolishes Miller with his power and does the same with Ono. Norton squashes Miller! Norton then calls out anyone in the back who thinks they can hang with him. Here comes Meng!!! It's a battle of the bad asses. Meng gets the win after keeping Norton in the Tongan Death grip for over a minute. Norton tried to use his power to break it, but to no avail.
WWE'er Scotty 2 Hotty comes out and shows off his dance moves, as the hardcore WCW rednecks almost Boo Scotty out of the building. This brings out Disco Inferno to a standing ovation. Disco challenges Scotty to a dance off. Disco wins only to blindsided. Scotty beats down Disco, and when he goes for the WORM instead of chanting W..O..R...M, the fans chant W...C....W! Scotty tells the fans to luv off, but Disco get up and nails Scotty with his Stunner and gets the pin!
(Tenay is backstage interviewing the lovely Kimberly who says tonight The Nitro Girls are gonna have a very fun reunion!)
Next is a Lucha Libre 10 man battle royal featuring Pscosis, Juventud Gurrera, Silver King, El Dandy, Halloween, Cicolpe, Villanos 4 and 5, Hector Garza, and La Parka. Norman Smiley comes out, gets on the mic and says, he's tired of being a hardcore wrestler. Now he's gonna go down as the greatest Luchador in the history of WCW. They all gang up on Smiley as he's the first one to go! The fans chant "Thank you Norman!" as he leaves. Juvi wins the match after eliminating both La Parka and Pscosis.
Kronik (Bryan Adams and Clarke) comes out and annihilate an already hurt Juvi, Parka, and Pscosis throwing around like the small guys that they are according to Shavonie. They're calling out Harlem Heat to find out just who is the most dominating tag team in WCW. Stevie Ray and Booker T with Sharmell (Nitro Girl Storm for the night) come out and accept the challenge. The Heat get the win after dueling Harlem Sidekicks.
(Tenay is in the back with Flair, who tonight will team up with Arn Anderson (w Mongo McMicheal in their corner) to take on Sting and Lex Luger one final time. Reminding us that still to come as well is for the first time ever Goldberg vs Beniot, Bishoff vs Russo (w Jeff Jarrett), and Hogan vs Savage for the final time!)
Billy Kidman vs Rey Misterio for Cruiserweight Glory. Misterio wins only to be jumped by Raven and his flock consisting of Lodi, Riggs, Sickboy, and Reese! Luchadors led by Konnan make the save. Konnan wants Raven's ass in a no DQ, falls count anywhere match. Raven and K-Dogg bloody each other. Raven eventually gets the win with help from Chris Kanyon!
Jehricho comes out with Ralphus and a dress and tells Perry Saturn we fight and whoever loses this match leaves the ring wearing a dress. Good match with Saturn winning when Ralphus interference backfires. WWE'er The Coach comes out and laughs at Jehricho for having to put on the dress. Giving both men the speech of how he's a real man and would never wear a dress under any circumstances! Saturn snatches the dress out of Jehricho's hand and both men proceed to pummel JBL to a pulp. Liontamer followed by the Rings of Saturn. And to top it off Ralphus avalanches Coach like King Kong Bundy and pins him! They both rip the suit off of Coach and put him in the dress! They leave the ring together raising each other's hand!
The WWE guys are watching on in the VIP seating. The Brooklyn Brawler and Barry Horowitz come to the ring and call out WCW jobbers Mark Starr and The Gambler. Brawler claims that no one can put big stars over like me and Horowitz. A tag match ensues and the Gambler pins the Brawler! He claims he just hit the jackpot and starts crying in joy that he won a match! He says, "You're right Brawler, no one can put people over like you".
The 4 men hug only for Big Poppa Pump's music to hit as he suplexs all 4 jobbers on their heads! He's there with Midajah and calls out anybody who thinks they can hang with the Big Bad Booty Daddy! The Masterpiece's music hits to roaring boos! He dares Steiner to take the Masterlock Challenge which is back for one night only! Steiner breaks it, suplexs Masters on his head, gears on the Steiner Recliner and gets the win! After the match, Melina comes out and flirts with Steiner who's very interested until Nitro jumps him. Rick Steiner to the rescue, dumps Nitro on his head. Midajah and Melina cat fight, Scott spanks Melina's ass as the WCW fans roar their approval.
It's time for Flair and Anderson vs Sting and Luger. Flair and Sting put on their usual good match for the most part while Luger and Anderson come in only occasionally to protect their limitations. Flair pins Luger with when Anderson pulls Flair's arms for leverage!
Goldberg's in the back as Tenay asks him why during the WCW days he's never faced Chris Beniot one on one. Goldberg replies, "That little man isn't in my league! But like it or not Beniot..You're next!" Goldberg his the spear but just as the jackhammer's about to come down Beniot slides out and applies the crossface. (Here's where if I were booking Goldberg would tap and Beniot wins but since were in WCW....) Eventually Goldberg wins after Beniot wins his respect because the rednecks would riot if Goldberg lost to a little guy like Beniot. (If it was WWE or ECW Beniot definitely goes but if it's a WCW PPV Goldberg must win!)
Bishoff (w DDP in his corner) vs Russo (w Jarrett in his corner) It quickly becomes Bishoff and DDP vs Russo and Jarrett. DDP wins with a DC on Jarrett while Bishoff kicks Russo to the next century!
It's now time for the Nitro Girls reunion! Kimberly, Spice, Whisper, Chae, Fyre, AC Jazz, Tygress, and Storm are all on the stage doing a sexy striptease when "Buff Daddy" all of a sudden blasts through the speakers. Buff gets on he mic and demands that Kimberly come down and give Buff Daddy a kiss. Your washed up husband obviously didn't satisfy you in '97 when you came to my hotel room that night and I showed you why I'm Buff and I'm still the stuff! The other girls are arguing with Buff telling him to leave when yes... Randy Orton's music hits to the biggest boos of the night by far! Orton goes up to Buff and says there's only one true ladies man in the business today and it's me the Legend Killer! Hulk Hogan's daughter is obsessed with me, and by the looks of things I think Shawn Michaels wife would like a piece of the legend killer later on after the show (He approaches Whisper who's yelling at Orton to leave her alone) Orton and Buff form an alliance and tell the girls that tonight they're gonna get a shot of Buff's stuff and they'll find out that not only is Randy a killer in the ring, he's one between the sheets as well. At this point Booker T (Storm's Wife) demands Orton and Bagwell to leave his wife alone. Edge comes out of nowhere and spears Booker! Stevie Ray comes out only to be triple teamed! Blockbuster on Ray, RKO on Booker! Buff grabs Kimberly and starts feeling her out, Orton grabs Whisper and Chae, demanding they make out with each other while he watches. Edge grabs Fyre saying with a wicked smile "He's got a thing for redheads..and bondage." Fyre starts crying. "Tonight, the Nitro Girls are gonna find out what being "Raw" is all about!" NWO MUSIC HITS! It's Nash, Hall, and Syxx! Hall does the "Hey Yo" routine, Nash says there's two honorary NWO members with us tonight. It's HHH and HBK in NWO shirts. The NWO/Klique Members surround Buff, Orton, and Edge. HHH is about to hit Buff with Sledgie until Kimberly kicks Buff in the nuts, DDP Diamond Cutter as the happy couple leave while the new NWO decimate Orton, Edge, and Buff. All three men get spray painted with NWO as they take the remaining Nitro Girls to safety as Nash claims, "Tonight, Chae is gonna find out why Big Sexy is just too sweet!!" Michaels and Whisper kiss, Storm helps Booker T to the back, Spice, Fyre, Jazz, and Tygress proceed to kick the unconscious Bagwell, Orton, and Edge into until they also join the NWO in celebration.
Final match is Hogan vs Savage in a cage. However when Michaels and HHH come out and claim they drew more money than Hogan and Savage could ever dream it became The Mega Powers vs DX in a cage! Hogan wins with the legdrop on HHH as Savage nails the elbow on HBK. Nash, Hall, and Syxx come to rescue and begin to beat Hogan and Savage down until Flair,Anderson, Beniot, Sting, and Luger come out and start a brawl. Flair ends up pinning Nash, while everyone puts Flair up on their shoulders chanting "Thank you Flair" to end the show.
Hope I didn't go too crazy with the Nitro Girl idea but I do think a reunion with them is a must if its a WCW PPV. And having Orton and Edge come out and treat them like strippers would be controversial.

In that case every RAW episode is a RAW One Night Stand...

Match 1: Disqo v. The Artist. Interrupted by JBL. Match 2: Johnny Nitro & Melina v. Carlito & Trish (they need more TV time) Match 3: Perry Saturn just standing there so we can all applaud. (biggest pop of the night) Match 4: Two words: BOOK STAMP. Match 5: Not sure who is in it, because The Miz shows up and talks for ten minutes and the match never starts. Match 6: Doesn't matter, because nobody's watching anymore.

In that case every RAW episode is a RAW One Night Stand... No, because RAW is still a wrestling brand, active, and well. Therefore, it would be RAW Married Life.

Considering the roster was so huge from the late 80s thru 2000, here's a way to get a lot of faces out of the way very quickly
First off I must say the show is NOTHING without an ORIGINAL FOUR HORSEMAN REUNION...But I doubt Ole would partake. But there should be a Horseman tribute to start the show. Then Big Show can come out and say that the Dungeon of Doom kicked their butts night after night. Then have Scott Hall and some nWo members like Bagwell, Norton, and a bunch of others show up and say that everyone knows who made WCW the number 1 promotion. Then have a big brawl that sees things like Benoit & Sullivan take their fight thru the crowd & Flair chopping Bischoff. lol.
Onto the matches.
10 Man Cruiserweight battle royal (Eddie Guererro Tribute Chavo Guererro w/Pepe, Rey Mysterio, Chris Benoit, Psicosis, La Parka, Chris Jericho, Dean Malenko, Juventud, Jushin Liger, & Ultimo Dragon
Harlem Heat vs Nasty Boyz
3 Count Reunion Tour...they can perform a dance number and Disco Inferno & Alex Wright come out and dance to their music and they get in a fight. Tank Abbott reprises his act as 3 Count's groupie and destroys Disco & Alex Wright
DDP vs Kanyon
Cactus Jack vs. Vader w/pregnant belly
Buff Bagwell vs Lex Luger w/tight shirt
"Stunning" Steve Austin vs.....GOLDBERG!!! Just a teaser match...can't spoil big money on a reunion show...Goldberg just wants revenge for that stunner at WM20 and that being the last WWE image people saw of him. They brawl until broken up.
Backstage, Scott Hall reminds Big Show about what he said earlier about the Dungeon Of Doom and how he must have forgot that the nWo made him who he is. Show doesn't like that and challenges him to a match
The Giant vs Scott Hall During this match, the faction feud re-erupts and during the chaos, HOLLYWOOD HOGAN (sporting the black beard) comes out and clears house, and reunites The Giant, Scott Hall, and the rest of the nWo members. They spraypaint "NWO" over the WCW logo and talk about taking over all over again. Flair's music comes out and he gets in the ring solo and stands in Hogan's face. The nWo members step up, and then one by one, Arn Anderson, Lex Luger, McMichael, Benoit, Malenko, Tully Blanchard, Barry Windham, Paul Roma (meh), and J.J. Dillon step behind Flair.
Main Event: Lumberjack Match Hollywood Hogan vs Ric Flair
To close the show, Ric Flair cuts a promo about WCW leaving the fans wondering if there will be more to come
There you have it....8 matches, a few segments.....BOOK IT!!!

Vince would never do that and if he did it would probably be crap.
They'd probably put Jean-Paul Levesque over DDP or something and that would suck. That's not WCW.
Let WCW rest in peace, some memories of the greatest wrestling promotion ever are still alive in TNA, but that should be it. Don't create a zombie WCW event.
[kayfabe]Man, Triple H should be glad that Alex Wright never joined WWE. ;-) [/kayfabe]

There could never be a WCW One Night Stand without Sting. It would unacceptable. I loved what the NwO brought to the industry and how it put WCW in the gist of the Monday Night War but Sting and Flair was the oil that made the engine work.

True, but it was designed to use people not under contract somewhere else. With sting in TNA he wouldn't be able to do it.]
Also people said an ECW ONS wouldn't work without Shane Douglas, and well, they were wrong!

Shane is NO Sting. He's never been that important to fans in his life. Sting is a symbol of WCW...good or bad. He always has been.
