I just can't resist fantasy booking.
OPENING
Eric Bischoff welcomes the fans to WCW's reunion show and thanks them for their support, yada yada yada. He introduces Tony Schiavone, Mike Tenay, and Bobby Heenan to call the matches. Then we go to a video intro to start the show...
MATCH ONE
Dean Malenko VS Chris Jericho
--Before the match, Jericho insists that he was the best Cruiserweight and Television Champion in WCW's history, and while Dean may be known as the man of 1,000 holds, he's the man of 1,004!
--Malenko wins via the Texas Cloverleaf
BACKSTAGE MOMENT
Ric Flair and Arn Anderson are in the back doing an interview standing in front of a WCW banner. Flair says that one of the biggest staples of WCW was the Four Horsemen. Arn says a lot of people may not remember them, but they were the top dogs in WCW for years. "Let's take a moment to remember..." And a Four Horsemen video will play.
MATCH TWO
Chris Benoit VS Booker T (2 out of 3 falls)
--Tony and crew say this is the time to settle once and for all who the better man is.
--Benoit wins first fall via the Diving Headbutt and rollup pin, Booker T wins second fall after a Scissor Kick and the Harlem Hangover, then Benoit wins the match with the Crippler Crossface
After the match, the announce crew says it's time to look back on some of the great moments in WCW history. And a video package is shown highlighting the Flair/Sting rivalry, Hogan's heel turn, Sting/Hogan at Starrcade, Bill Goldberg's World Championship victory, and others.
MATCH THREE
Rey Mysterio VS Juventud Guerrera VS Billy Kidman (Cruiserweight 3-way)
--Rey Mysterio wins after a Super-Hurracanrana from the turnbuckle on Juvenud
BACKSTAGE MOMENT
First, all we see is an nWo banner. Then, one by one, Hall, Nash, and Hogan enter the frame. Hogan admits that the Four Horsemen dominated WCW for a long time, but it was the nWo's hostile takeover that made the company famous. Nash says that he and Scott dominated the tag division as the Outsiders, and Hall says its time to look back on the nWo's proudest moments.
A video package plays showing Hogan's victory over the Giant at Bash at the Beach, various nWo skits mocking the Horsemen, Sting, and others, the Nitro that the nWo took over, and NOT the fingerpoke of doom.
MATCH FOUR
Kevin Nash and Scott Hall w/ Hogan VS Ric Flair and Bill Goldberg w/ Arn
--Flair and Goldberg win after Goldberg Jackhammers Hall
After the match, Stone Cold Steve Austin's music plays and Steve marches to the ring and does his 4-post pose before saying he never got his shot in WCW because of guys like Hogan and Bischoff. He came here to whip somebody's ass and drink beer, and he doesn't care who it is. He stunners Flair, but then Goldberg spears him.
Security immediately floods the ring to break up the carnage, and during the melee Austin manages to give Goldberg a Stunner before he's escorted out. Goldberg recovers before Austin's gone, though, and charges after him, and they fight into the back with Security trying to break them up.
MATCH FIVE
Diamond Dallas Page VS Raven ("Raven's Rules")
--DDP wins via a Diamond Cutter off the turnbuckle through a table onto a chair. "Raven's Rules" were insane.
Afterward, Tony and crew say it's almost time for their main event. This rivalry became the biggest World Title feud of WCW's for nearly a year. A video package of the Sting/Hogan matches plays, showing Starrcade, Nitro, and SuperBrawl's matches.
MATCH SIX
Sting VS "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan w/ Scott Hall and Kevin Nash
--Heavy interference, of course. After a ref bump, Hall and Nash jump Sting, and Hall Razor's Edges him. Nash is about to powerbomb him when Goldberg charges the ring and spears Nash. Nash rolls out, and Hall attacks Goldberg, and they fall out of the ring. Hogan leg drops Sting, but the ref is still out.
--Hogan starts whipping Sting with his belt until the Giant stomps to the ring. Giant stands Sting up as though to chokeslam him while Hogan cheers. Then, Giant releases Sting, grabs Hogan, and chokeslams him instead.
--The ref finally wakes up and starts a 10 count for both men. They duke it out again and Sting locks Hogan in the Scorpion Deathlock, but Nash pulls the ref out of the ring.
--Bischoff races to the ring to take the ref's place. Hogan taps, and Bischoff calls for the bell.
Afterward, all the WCW alumni celebrate with Sting while the nWo looks on. Eventually, the nWo join the celebration and Hogan shakes Sting's hand. Hall does his trademark point at the WCW guys.
Suddenly, Shane McMahon's music plays, and Shane struts to the ring. As the alumns watch, Shane tells them he's the rightful owner of WCW, after all. So this is still technically his ring. He hopes they had their fun, because WCW's dead and gone now. Show's over. Time to go home.
Naturally, the alums don't take kindly to this. DDP jumps through the large group and Diamond Cutters Shane. They stand Shane up and and Booker T Scissor Kicks him. The men clear the way, and Hogan leg drops Shane, then Kidman leaps off the turnbuckle and hits him with a Shooting Star Press. Flair locks Shane in the Figure Four.
Eric Bischoff gets a mic and tells Shane (who's tapping out like mad) that WCW still exists in the memories of the fans, not in his wallet. He doesn't control the fans, he doesn't control the wrestlers, and he doesn't control the legacy of WCW.
Finally, Goldberg steps up. The alums clear the ring and cheer while Golderg Irish Whips Shane and Spears him. Then, he hoists him up and Jackhammers him. Then, the alums rejoin Goldberg in the ring and celebrate over the fallen McMahon.
The show ends with a banner that says "WCW: The Memory Will Live Forever" being lowered from the ceiling.
(And kindly overlook all the things that'll "never happen" in this. Since we know the show will never happen anyway, I didn't bother worrying about what was and wasn't possible.)
