Do you think that CM Punk will ever be a World Champion in WWE?

no doubt in my mind the potential is there
whether they'll bank on that potential is on the shoulders of a very stubborn owner surrounded by yes-men
so, i guess maybe leaning towards yes

If they used him to his potential he could be a phenomenal heel champion for years there. I'll say maybe leaning towards yes. My faith in this company isn't all that strong.

I'm pretty sure he will, unless he messes up and garners a lot of backstage heat for something.

I pray he does, but I get the gut feeling some political crap is gonna stop him short. That, or some roided out male model is gonna hit him with some far too stiff stuff and really hurt him.

he could win the ecw title if lashley gets hurt before sci fi pulls the plug (when it happens) since they are using the show right now just to get lashley over i don't see a title change happening soon.
i'm not so sure about winning the world heavyweight title or the wwe.

World champion, no. IC champ, maybe. But World champ, no.

This is a great question actually. I feel that CM Punk will never live up to expectations unless he becomes a Champion to be quite honest, because the standards were set so high for him.
But yeah, hopefully he drops his know-it-all attitude though. That would be the only thing holding him back.

I have met him twice and one of the times chatted with him for a considerable amount of time after an OVW show, and he came off as one of the most down-to-earth, and coolest wrestlers I've ever met. But on the other hand, people said the same thing about Lesnar when he was first coming up. He is just the type of guy that I couldn't see success going to his head.

Benoit, Jericho, RVD, Guerrero, etc. all have. I hope it takes Punk a LONG time in a way, but I think it'll happen sooner or later.

I don't get that why he has to be world champion.
If he can first become a great character, and garner the kind of backing that a champion would have then I'm all for it.

I am pretty sure that will never ever happen. Not in one million years or in one million possible alternate WWE universes!
I think CM Punk is fantastic but I'm positive that that will never happen.

I guess that information is mostly said from Raven, who also ironically said he's not the type who likes taking advice from people. He's probably a great guy and down to earth, but he just thinks he knows everything.

If the ECW ratings keep going down, then the ECW title will start bouncing around to everyone.

Let's see-
- Vince didn't create him - He has heat with management due to his perceived "prima donna" attitude - He's currently part of WWECW - He's uber-popular w/ IWC smarks - He's not a hoss
As of right now, my answer is NOT A CHANCE IN HELL. Could change but I doubt it. Everything mentioned above is a strike against a wrestler's chances of ever becoming a world champion of Vince's.
