the monday night wars gave most people the impression only one promotion can be "succesfull" while the others that try, struggle and hang on by a thread...
the truth of the matter, before then, both wcw, and wwe coexisted (wwe bigger at the time) comfortable so...
Im asking because people make it like for tna to become big, it has to devour the competition in wwe.. its not like they come on at the same time.. whos to say most people couldnt watch both, with them both suceeding as two big promotions

The general idea is one company doesn't want the other company to still be around, because they're cutting into their potential userbase, and profits.
This is when the two are on somewhat equal ground that is.
Right now, there's not really any kind of "war".
