if ratings kept plummeting, and vince got so desperate to get high ratings even for one episode, would he ever drop kayfabe completly? i mean, would he go out in the middle of the ring and say "you know in actuality im a pretty nice guy, i get along well with my family, and i dont yell every word i say" and then take us all on a camera tour of the back stage areas with heels and faces hanging out together and reading scripts and stuff? it would surely be watched, but would he ever be that desperate?

Nope, he even plays Mr. McMahon when he is interviewed by outsiders. He just cannot help it.

Raw should have special episodes like tv shows do when they're running outta stuff to do, just the odd episode every now and then that don't really figure in with the other shows

I would mark if one episode all the heels and faces swapped, and some people had completly random gimmicks...
and at the end have Vince wake up...
bonus mark points for Patrick Duffy cameo.

I don't know why you say it as if he'd do it to grab ratings, what ratings would that grab? I'm gonna go with the obvious no, don't see what problems that would actually solve.

i kind of like this idea. they can't do the millitary special forever so why not have a behind the seens look or something where they break kayfabe

Though it might be interesting to see once, no he wouldn't do it.
It wouldn't be a good idea and other than seeing it the one time, wouldn't really be much fun to watch either.

Creative Team: Oh, we gotta do one of those things where the guy in tights fights the other guy in tights....a wrestling match? No, that doesn't sound right......Oh really? Well, Billy says "wrestling match" sounds familiar....so, what the hell, we'll try one of those....No, Vince needs 20 minutes to read a fake letter from Trump...ok, well, I think we can do without the whatchmacallit....wristing match...oh, yeah, right wrestling match.....

That would be awful. Everyone knows its fake, but the point is to buy into what we're seeing and get behind it as "real". If, one week we see that its fake and people are reading scripts etc, why would ANYONE care what happens the next week?

You know, if Vince actually opened a Raw in the ring, said those EXACT words, and then led us on a casual stroll behind the scenes with a big smile on his face, it would probably cause me to laugh like a hyena for about four days straight. |
