Even though everyone tries to act like 2006 was the worst thing in the history of suck just because it was recent and stuff...
...RAW after Wrestlemania was really awesome and interesting.
We had...
HHH slowly turning face (something that was really new and fresh)
WWE ackowledging Cenas "mixed" reactions
Mickey/Trish storyline
Edge/Cena/HHH stuff. Awesome promos at the start of shows, awesome matches with them on the main event of a bunch of RAWs.
Edge/Foley stuff, Foley turns heel, great promos like every week.
ECW stuff before One Night Stand.
HHH kinda fueding with Vince and then the slow reformation of DX. --------------------
I mean why does everyone just ignore and forget this stuff? I still keep some the RAWs from April-June to this day. RAW was awesome for those couple of months...

Because if its recent, it sucks. Its somekind of unwritten rule I guess.
The older it gets, the greater it will become.
Just look at the Shotgun Saturday Night thread. People are now talking about how great stuff like Marc Mero vs. Fake Diesel, and Blue Chipper Rocky Maivia vs. Fake Razor Ramon was. Not to mention Fondle Me Elmo. People are marking for that episode now.

Wrestling is like a fine wine (not that I'd know). It gets better with age.

You can all say what you want but I will always mark for The Spirit Squad's tag team title run RVD and Edge were also great Main thing ruining it was DX though Also, Im probably one of the few here that truly enjoyed WWE in 2006

I was interested in Cena and Triple H pretty much only because of crowd reaction. Also, a lot of these shows were dominated by Vince/HBK/SS crap. The only highpoints for me personally were the Edge/Foley/ECW stuff.

Umaga debuted the day after WrestleMania as did the Spirit Squad. Good thing or bad thing? Spirit Squad debuted just before the Royal Rumble. They won the Tag Titles the night after WrestleMania.

Umaga debuted the day after WrestleMania as did the Spirit Squad. Good thing or bad thing? The Spirit Squad had been around for a couple months. They're the reason Coach was in the Rumble IIRC

It did suck. There's no arguing that. I thought it was turning a corner, and then BAM, crapty DX stuff was plastered everywhere all summer. and there was a really really sllooooowwww burn that just sucked. Remember when Vince tried to catch them in a net?
Ah, 2006, the year that gave us: -The Kid friendly DX, complete with midgets, taking over the production truck, Vince trying to capture them in a net, bringing in a group of male cheerleaders to fight them, hanging out with Big Dick Johnson or whatever his name is
-Rey Mysterio, jobber champion
-the continued exploitation of one Mr. Eddie Guerrerro
-Fake Kane, which went nowhere, and thus became the worst nicknamed man of all time on the boards....."Phone".....how I hated that name
-the new ECW, first with RAW main events and special original ECW guest stars......now aptly named VelocitECW
-TNA doing their best impression of WCW circa 1998-2001
-December to Dismember
-the full blown return of cartoon character gimmicks
-Liver Enzymes Theres a lot more I'm forgetting

the only good thing about mid 2006 was hhh's face turn. the rest of the stuff from edge's joke of a title reign to trish/mickie was wearing thin by then.

I liked from the aftermath of WM to mid June. Then it slowly went down the crapper. But I must say the past few weeks of WWE (All Brands) have been good... yes that includes RAW and ECW.
