Obviously spoilers are forthcoming.
I knew Batista wasn't losing the title to Kennedy. After building this Batista/Undertaker match up that would have been really stupid. But it looks like they are going to have to turn Batista heel or have another John Cena issue on their hands.
This was the second match in a row where one guy looked like he deserved to be carrying a brand as a World Champion and as a big time performer, and the other looked like crap. Amazingly the same scenario from the Rumble played out again. After some offense on Batista's part, Kennedy took over and went to work on Batista's arm. He never stopped working it over, and did it the entire match. Towards the end when Batista made his comeback, while there were no actual Kennedy chants this time, the boos were pretty obvious and apparent once again. And I don't know if there was a big screw up or if the crowd actually did start chanting for Kennedy or what, but at the end of the match the camera cuts from a shot of Batista's face directly to him setting up Kennedy for a finisher. I don't know what the deal was there with that cut.
Kennedy is more than ready, and I hope he has the title by Summerslam this year.
As for a couple of other smaller things:
-I'm glad someone from MNM FINALLY beat someone from the Hardyz.
-Finlay beats Boogeyman. Good.
-Teddy Long announces a "Diva Talent Contest" for No Way Out? Oh boy....
-Helms and Diavari had a pretty good match. Weird seeing two heels facing off though.
-Speaking of heels, Deuce and Domino AND Joey Mercury both went over clean tonight. I hate when heels seem weak and can't ever win without cheating, so good for them. I really like Deuce and Domino.
Another week, another solid Smackdown. Best wrestling show on TV.
