I know it's a little early to start something like this, but WSX's rating dropped from a 1.0 to .9 over the week, and I've overheard many state that it's already dead. Yet, ECW on Sci-Fi had a rating drop too. A much worse one too (1.7 to 1.4), I'll add. So, clear question, do you think WSX could hang with ECW as long as they stay pretty steady?

People actually tried to say that after just two episodes? Yeesh. You'd think people would pull for more competition against Vince and Co.
I'd attribute the ratings drop to the Friday "previews" and the endless replays.

I don't really understand why they show it Friday. I mean, half of their fans will watch it, then realize there's no point in watching it again Tuesday, so there's just the other half.

WSX is an over-the-top take of pro-wrestling, made by and aimed to casual wrestling fans, or to wrestling "illitterates".
ECW is just another WWE brand, only with a "prestigious" name, but it's the C-show, with not-so-useful Superstars, some original ECW alumni (for the nostalgia factor) and a couple of promising Stars.
Casual fans will soon get tired of WSX'es stunts, while ECW will probably keep the loyal WWE fans... which may be few (1.x is bad for RAW, but not so bad for the third brand)

At the very least, a lot of talented performers are getting TV time. Expanding your resume is great in all professions.

My only thing is, get the belt off of Vampiro sooner or later. Because if the younger guys (Read: Sydal, Evans, etc) don't get a shot or Vampiro gets put over them, it's gonna be reminiscent of Triple H to WWE. That's my two cents, at least.

I'm thinking he'll be more of a Jarrett. Or at least what Jarrett should have been: A recognizable name to hold the strap while the company gets on its feet.

This just in, the real WSX rating was actually a .7, so the drop is exactly the same now.
Thus the entire argument is rendered moot.
