Something I realised a trend on this board is that every month or so the guys pic one of the champions to hate, they totally flame them for a month and then move on to another champ Check what i mean HHH- too many reigns, uses backstage power, holds down other talent. Followed by JBL- boring in the ring, shouldnt have got the title, makes racist remarks reign too long. followed by John Cena- sucks in the ring, rap gimmick doesnt appeal to anyone, but 12 year olds, jokes are too stale. followed by Rey Mysterio- too small to be a champ, tributes too much to Eddie, followed by Batista- sucks in the ring, doesnt seem to be interested, doesnt try hard enough. now its Bobby Lashley- no charisma. shouldnt be on ECW or a champ at all. I really wonder what theyre going to say about HBK or Taker if the win the belts? Bobby Lashley- hes

Actually no one's really flamed HHH majorly here in about 2 years. Same with JBL. Batista, Cena, Lashley and Rey DO suck. So I'll keep flaming on them. Not too many people complained about Edge, though

WRITE THIS DOWN NOW, BECAUSE IN THE EVENT THAT THE UNDERTAKER WINS THE TITLE, THIS IS WHAT I WILL BE SAYING. I DON'T WANT MY TAKER HATRED MISCONSTRUED AS SOME SORT OF "FLAVOR OF THE MONTH" HATRED:
The Undertaker's act is old, and I didn't even like it when it was fresh. I can roll my eyes, too, but nobody's giving me championships. Taker's "mind games" are really stupid and corny. I have not now, nor have I ever been an Undertaker fan, and have cheered nearly everyone he feuded with (the exception being Randy Orton, who I think blows). I think the Taker gets way more props than he deserves, what with everyone yelling "protect his streak, he's earned it, he deserves it, blah blah blah, he should retire with the belt." No one should retire with the belt, it makes the whole rest of the roster look weak "well, nobody could beat him anyway, so he'll just retire, and then we'll have a tournament for second best" or whatever. And don't tell me Trish retired with the belt, because the women's title is barely a championship anyway. They went for five years with NO women's champion, so that belt isn't really a priority.
In closing, Undertaker blows, and he should put SOMEONE over before he retires. You're always supposed to job on your way out, that's tradition (again, excluding the women's division, because in WWE women's wrestling doesn't matter).

I don't understand this thread at all.
People hate those champions for those reasons, yes. I don't recall it changing every month. People still think all those things. It's just more topical when the champions in question... you know... are still champions.

I'll go ahead and make it clear how I feel on the subject. I don't give to sh**s about Undertaker's streak. I think Edge should beat him next year there and end it. I only care about that title being off of Batista, and if it has to be Undertaker, there are worse options than him.

I never said anything bad about HHH or Rey. But the rest have deserved most of the crap they got. And I definately was wrong about JBL I thought it was a horrible Idea to put the strap on him, but he was a pretty good heel champ

Looking at the list, I don't see it as "they were flamed for a month", I see it more of people genuinely not liking either the reighn or the character.
With Trips, the whole Kane/Katie Vick thing just drove me nuts. There was no purpose. Having said that, it's been several years, I think we've moved on.
JBL had a 10 month reign in which, towards the end, he really started working harder, and I think earned quite a bit of respect from many. The German incident was stupid on a whole lot of levels, and that's just that.
With Rey Rey, sweet Jesus, is it so hard to figure out why people were pissed? Poor guy has been doing this since before the "Cena target audience" was born, starting before he was old enough to vote, and he's rewarded with THAT? A titel run that sees him decimated by EVERYONE, winning maybe two matches the whole time, and generally looking like a world-class puss-bag. I'd say the anger came from people realizing it was one huge "haw haw, you're short, neener neener" in his direction from the execs.
Cena...you know, it's been covered. Generic gimmick to rapper gimmick, to generic gimmick with a crunchy rapper shell. Wait, I think I just compared Cena to M&M's, sorry about that.
Batista, well, take away the roids, and what do you have? A 40-something year old man who can do practically nothing. Feh.
Worst of all is, look at the style worked by every guy you mentioned, save for Mysterio.
The E has a massive hard-on right now for strict brawlers. Power guys who do little more than punches, slams, kicks, and some sort of slam-related finish. Perhaps the reason people are tired is, we see three champions, all of whom work more or less the same style? Repitition gets old, ya know?
