The only thing i dont understand.... is that noone seems to hate on Chris Sabin's "Cradle Shock" but its the same damn move! I hate the cradle shock. WHY WOULD THE VICTIM CROSS HIS OWN LEGS?

Well, this may be extremely obvious, but I wonder if anyone understands the profanity inuendo's with the FU and the STFU. We all know what FU means, but STFU means "shut the F*** up." So that's why I think he does the STFU after the FU, It's like he's saying F*** you and shut the F*** up. Holy shit! Are you f***ing serious! Stop the f***ing presses! MAN WALKS ON f***ING MOON!

Cena's doing the best he can with it, but it's just lacking that extra something that would make it good. Maybe he should change it to a standing sitout fireman's carry takeover.

I've always thought it was horrible. Newer fans might not know that he started using the move as an "FU" to Brock Lesnar and his F-5......
I always wondered why Brock should be insulted that Cena is using a much weaker looking move than Lesnar's but, hey, whatever, I dont book this stuff.....

It seems so weak for a finisher. If it had surfaced in the late eighties or early nineties it would have been cool, maybe.

The only thing i dont understand.... is that noone seems to hate on Chris Sabin's "Cradle Shock" but its the same damn move! Only it's ..... really not at all? And as someone already said, Death Valley Driver = Good. Cena's slam out of a fireman's carry position = Weak.

Cena actually did the Cradle Shock a few times, when he was feuding with JBL's Cabinet. Remember how every Smackdown from late 2004/early 2005 used to end with Cena getting attacked by the Cabinet, then he'd fend them all off and FU one of them? I remember that he hit the Cradle Shock on Doug Basham, and possibly once on Orlando Jordan.

Or, he could turn it into a powerslam. Hell, just torture rack them for a few seconds, then go to powerslam move. Doesn't change the F-U much, but damn does it look like it's gon' hurt!

meh, it isnt bad. but it isnt that special either. i preferred it in his heel days, when he would actually do a proper death valley driver, now its just a standing firemans carry. meh.

I've gotten used to it. There have been far worse finishers out there.

It is if he makes it look painful.
He did an FU 2 years ago or so on Theo Long (while feuding with JBL), where he literally just picked Long up and dropped him off his shoulders. Sure, it could've hurt a bit, but it was just a simple toss basically.
Just dumping the guy off your shoulders isn't enough. Actually falling down with him - making it look like Cena's really driving them down onto the mat - is what makes it look good.
Back in "the day" (2003-2004 or so) the FU looked like he was killing the guy. Cena's kinda gone back to that in the last year or so.
And honestly, the STFU makes it a lot more credible.

Cena's FU is pretty good when he puts a lot of impact into it. More often than not lately, this hasn't been happening, so I said no.

It is only because they say it is. I don't like it for all the aesthetic reasons I'm sure have already been mentioned, but they've built it as an instant game over finisher, so for kayfabe purposes, it is.

It's basically a body slam. A weak one at that. Or at least I think so.

I don't see how it's any worse than an Elbow or a jawbreaker...

It's a glorified back body drop. Those things do more damage than the FU would.

The only thing i dont understand.... is that noone seems to hate on Chris Sabin's "Cradle Shock" but its the same damn move! I admit that I do not like the Cradle Shock as a finisher. To be honest, I think TNA should book it so that Sabin always defends his title in either an Ultimate X, Ladder match, Cage match, or some other no DQ match. That way he can add a chair to that wicked-ass hanging dropkick to his hanging opponent thing that he used to do as a face. THAT would be a truly awesome finisher.

I always thought that Cena should keep the FU, but also add the elbow off the top rope, (he could do one). Instead of pointing abouve like Randy Savage before he leaps, he could just do the "word-life" sign. Not a bad idea. Although every time I've seen Cena on that top rope he has all the grace of a headless turkey.
