Anyways, about Orton and Edge, I feel excited about this match. They are two good to excellent workers who have already proven their worth back in 2004, and can do it again. This year's Wrestlemania already sounds classic.

He did get booed as a face in Toronto... AFTER the neck surgery. I said he was over as a face before the surgery. They booed him after because he came back and had dropped 2/3rds of his moveset and wasn't all that exciting anymore.

I think Edge could make a pretty good face actually, with the character he is now.


Turn him face Austin style, where he doesn't really change much...but just directs his aggression at heels instead. (would probably help get some other people over as heels too.)

Basically what they should have done when they turned Carlito face.

So could an Edge face turn = the face turn they gave Orton. Let's see; good heel, good heel heat and lack of quality heels. Yeah sounds like another great move.

i say it will orton who turns...if a turn happens at all. you could hear a faint rko chant last night going on. if that keeps up they'll take it to mean that the fans want orton to be the face.

The fans have to already want to get behind him. I understand what you're saying, but if you turn Edge's aggression towards a heel, you could just as easily turn the other heel babyface. Then what're you supposed to do? That plan worked with Austin, but Austin was already getting a mixed reaction. Edge is more over as a heel than anyone else on the roster. He'd probably be the worst heel to try and turn babyface in that fashion.

If either turns face, It's going to be Orton, He's the one with the point to prove. It was Egde who left Orton for dead when he recieved the conchairto by Shawn Michaels.

If they don't make Orton talk to the crowd directly, he'll be able to babyface it. Backstage promos, not in-ring ones.

But yeah, they're teasing a turn, and Edge as a face, especially now that he's lost a lot of moves and apparantly, his entire micwork, would be stupid.

Also, he's better as a heel ever since Lita's gone. It's like she was an air conditioner when it came to heat.

So we're between a rock and a hard place with one of those two getting turned face...

Orton's face run was probably the more forgettable and useless in history, and I don't see a reason why another face turn for Randy, coming in a moment of "average" popularity (compared to the good one he had in 2004), should be more successful.

Edge was turned in a hurry after he got booed out of his hometown at SummerSlam 04, and since then he's been getting over as a top heel.
And not a "likeable heel", a la Austin, either.

So turning Edge would basically flush two years worth of push and storylines down the crapper.

I'd still hope for a 4-way-title match at Mania, but if WWE want to go with a more "traditional" Cena v HBK, then I hope Orton and Edge can be a heel v heel match, with NO turns...

But WWE just can't accept the fact a heel can be "over" without the fans WANTING him to turn (and get neutered down).
