Kids who were not alive to see Hulkamania love him. What do they see that I don't.....I'm serious. Uh...their mark parents filled their heads with a bunch of bulls*** nostalgia about how great he was. Either that, or they read a book or something, and appreciate the guy's contributions to what wrestling...er, ah, I mean Sports Entertainment...is today.

Parents. Not brainwashing. When they buy their kids tickets and all the merch, they recall days of Hogan when they were fans and the kids immediatly respond to it.
It's like that with sports.

I started watching right when he left WWF and I never really liked the guy. Maybe for like a year or two I think he was alright but that was just because everyone else did. Then I realized techinical skills and better matches were more important.

I enjoyed Hulk's presence as a kid. It was a good time being a kid. I always rooted for Roddy though.

Oh god, you're going to bring HIM in to this thread soon You called? Even when I'm offline you guys talk about me. WOW! I must be having a bigger impact on this site than I thought. You guys really like me. ;D The reason so many children love HOLLYWOOD HULK HOGAN is because kids are not conspiracy minded. They don't spend all of their time trying to uncover conspiracies and point fingers the way teenagers do. Teens for some reason get a rush out of blaming someone. I guess it comes from getting in so much trouble and saying "I didn't do it." and "Really it was so and so's fault." all the time. Teens love to blame other people for their problems. And that's all it comes down to. When their favorite isn't getting the push they want or even worse if they are getting the push but just not getting over. Instead of admitting that maybe this guy isn't as great as they want him to be, they look to blaim someone else. HOLLYWOOD HULK HOGAN -- being the most visable pro wrestler of all time -- usually gets blaimed. But it means nothing. The follow up to this is that as people get older and start seeing the way the world really works, they begin to love HOLLYWOOD HULK HOGAN again as they realize what he has done for the sport that we love. So it's not so much "Why do kids love HOLLYWOOD HULK HOGAN?", as it is, "Why do teenagers try so hard to hate HOLLYWOOD HULK HOGAN?" especially when deep down they really do love him as do we all.

Alot of parents are split between the Hogan hate and the Hogan Love, just like anyone else. i don't think the kids are brainwashed, it's just an excuse.
Children of today loving Hogan in this era is proof that Hogan still has "It", and that his philosophy as to what a pro wrestling performer is supposed to be really does work. Hogan is still the master of charactorized match structure that people to this day really don't know about. It's something that he popularized, (and even invented a few aspects) in the 80's that carries on today in every match. It's something that he very, very seldom makes a mistake at despite his mobility gowing downward, so he still knows how to be entertaining. It's only when you're trying to look past the entertainment that people will find things to judge him on. The kids love him because he's just as animated as he was 20 years ago, which is saying something.
Mabe if there was someone today who was more animated and had more charisma than Hogan, that the kids would jump on their bandwagon and not on Hogan's. I'm still waiting for that guy.
But John cena's the closest.
