Overall it is great to see all those matches again but why must they edit out "Enter Sandman" and "Man in The Box", and replace them with the new WWE themes. Really takes away from the authenticity for me.

Because if it wasn't obvious, the owners of those songs want money for their trademark to be used. Far too much money.

Metallica want a batcrap amount of money for use of Enter Sandman. What if the 'E used Motorhead's version? They'd still wind up having to pay Metallica/The song's copyright holder, they could technically get anyone they wanted to come in and re-record the song (as long as it wasn't altered in any substantial way) but the songs publishers would still want them to come up with the cash.

Same thing with the Rise and Fall of ECW DVD and every other ECW DVD that WWE has put out.

I like the mental image of Metallica playing onstage at WM, and Little Bastard spearing Lars through his drum kit for no reason.

Did they replace the themes with their new ECW themes or some generic music like they use on the History of ECW shows On Demand?

How did ECW get to use them? I know the whole "Indies slide under the radar" but ECW used them on PPV.

ECW got permission to use the songs. The artists did not charge them like they would charge the big-time WWE.
