"How could Umaga, the guy that has pinfall victories over HHH, HBK, and Cena manage to beat...Jeff Hardy!?"

I'm going to say this, the match was surprisingly decent and not a total squash, though I still don't get why Umaga even needs the IC title. Somebody who wrestles on the occasional main event is not going to be dethroned by a midcarder anytime soon. And some people said Jeff wasn't helping the division

And some people said Jeff wasn't helping the division I second the notion that it was a good match. Somehow, Umaga and Jeff really work well together. I actually would have liked to see them both in the MITB match....that could have been something.

I'd like the match if I knew that it would lead to a feud after Wrestlemania.
What do I mean? Let's go Kaybefae....
Jeff has faced Umaga three times now, and lost every time. Now Umaga has the IC belt, the very thing that, upon winning, proved Jeff could still hang in the "major leagues." Umaga should tear through challengers, including Jeff again (perhaps at a PPV for his return shot) to build his credibility again.
Jeff keeps coming back for more though. He loses to Umaga the night after the PPV. The next week he is denied another shot and has to earn it in a No. 1 Contenders match. Armando could be razzing him the entire time. Jeff wins the match (perhaps a nice Fatal Four Way featuring Super Crazy, Johnny Nitro, and Carlito) and gets the next PPV title shout at Umaga.
At this point, the fact that Umaga has won every match should be pounded home. I mean, we should hear this just as much as we hear that Kenny is Twenty and that Skittles are fruity. Jeff should be near depression for failing over and over again. He gets a pep talk from someone about not quitting (I'd enjoy it being Piper) and regains confidence.
Finally, at the PPV, What happens? Jeff finally conquers the monster. He gets back his pride and his belt. Jeff gets the belt back, adding credibility to it in the process. Umaga still has power in this because he won the majority of the feud, it is just that Hardy won the one most important to him.
...
Dang I need to get away from EWR...
