Big fan of Thorn. Then again, I mark for all things goth or vampirish, so I'm horribly biased. I do tend to like the "New Breed" as a whole, as well.

Maybe they should add another vampire.
Thorn and someone else with Ariel may be a decent addition to WWE's tag team division.

They should also give Snitsky the Mordacai gimmick or something similar to it.
He may be able to do something with it, since he's already a weird idiot.

Just make Snitsky grow his eyebrows back, and I could care less what he does. That irks me, when people shave their eyebrows off. It doesn't look right.

I don't get it. The four/five guys in The New Breed actually seem to be the stars of the future -- what the ECW of old was built around. But then how do they actually wax up the entire ECW product? I think it's the legacy. But then again, in it's dying days ECW sucked hard. Justin Credible as champ? Cyrus the Virus? But now since the promotion closed, many people are shot back into thinking the promotion was something great, basing all the good memories off the company's golden years, and best characters/matches. Same with any dead promotion. WCW is usually thought of for nWo and bringing wrestling mainstream. Yet in the 80s it was pure ass. And in it's dying days it was pure ass. If the WWE ended tomorrow, the entire legacy of it would be based around Hogan and Austin's era. Nothing else. Then 20 years later the brand reopens and tries to reestablish itself and can't replicate it's best years, people will crap all over it, and not remember that it for the majority of it's lifetime it wasn't such a great promotion. Same with ECW. Hate to say it, but ECW was only "ECW" from like 1995-1999. And that's giving it a lot of leeway. Before and after it, the promotion was crap (save for some good things like Shane Douglas and RVD, respectively). That being said, I'm actually somewhat enjoying ECW now. It's a lot easier to handle then it was on TNN (although I miss Rhino and Gertner and the crowd badly), but the main feud was better than then it is now. Amen.

I love heel stables. LOVE 'em. And the New Breed is, potentially, a very good one. Kevin Thorne seems to be the enforcer... it's a cool way to use the crazy guy who thinks he's a vampire, because it's actually a somewhat intimidating kind of thing.
I hope these guys are kept together as a stable, actually, maybe even past the end of ECW. None of them have a chance of getting a major push in the WWE, so at least it would give them something to do.

Yes they are.
I could take or leave Cor Von though. I've liked Elijah better than Sylvester(thank god he's gone) from day one. I love the Mr. Striker gimmick and Thorn is very talented and has a great entrance. He put on a great match with Rvd tonight

I think what I like about the guy is that they aren't like "omg he's a vampire from transylvania!" or some over the top origin story for the guy. he's simply a weirdo that digs vampires, and that's why I think it works. it's got some sort of human aspect to it. plus he's a pretty solid in-ring worker. That's exactly what I liked about Paul Birchill during the pirate gimmick. Nerds taking things too far is always fun to watch.

All the New Breed have impressed me to be honest. Striker does his heel role well and does generate some heat, but I'd rather he wore different tights quite frankly. Burke is my favourite cos he has a ton of charisma, but Thorn has been good.

From what little of new ecw I wathced (4 or 5 episodes and d2d) I thought the most impressive new guy was Thorne. I knew about Punks roh work and they kept the gimick so I knew he would excell, same with Corvon who I felt was wasted in tna. I knew what to expect from Holly, Test, and Striker, but I had never seen Kevin thorn before as Mordecai. Needless to say I was impressed and I think that he will have a good future.

It's a shame that one of the most interesting and promising angles, involving many "legit" new stars (and not people we've been watching for years already) is relegated on the C-show, while on SmackDown we have boogeymen and leprechauns, and on RAW we have wild samoans and senile billionaires...

Yes this is whats cool about his charactor, they not pushing the he's a vampire that cant be hurt or some wacky gimmick because as much as I am a fan of Taker, one "deadman" act is enough

Thorn can move quite well for a man his size. He's impressive and has a good gimmick..not to mention Ariel. Growwwwwwllll!

I like all the New Breed too, minus Matt Striker. I think that Thorne and Ariel need to sacrifice Striker to get their blood fix. I'm still open to the idea of them turning Stevie into a vampire, as well.

Kevin Thorn's facial hair/sideburns are AWESOME, btw
his finisher (or is it a set-up move?) could use a better name than Dark Kiss though..

The name Kevin isn't scary enough though. Vampires should not be named Kevin. They should have just called him Thorne and been done with it. I do have to agree. If there's one thing that can make this work, it's that most of the wrestlers of the "New Breed" are actually pretty talented, either in the ring, or on the stick (with the possible exception of Striker...he's like the gimmicked-up, watered-down version of Mike Sanders). I know I've slagged on Extreme Nitro since Heyman was dismissed, but this is at least the bright spot in the company. Now hopefully, they'll work in CM Punk into all this and do a tease of whether he'll join the New Breed or rebel and align himself with the Originals.
