I enjoyed the Carlito-Flair team up and absolutely loved Edge vs. RVD, but who else was equal parts shocked and happy with the Cena/Orton match? Going in a thought it would be mediocre at very best, but both guys impressed the hell out of me. Cena with a neat sit-down hip toss, Orton with the elevated DDT and cross-body to roll up. Sure there were couple chinlocks, but I can easily live with those if the rest of the match is good. All in all it was IMO a good match that deserves to be recognized as such.
If you look at the two big matches (Cena/Orton, RVD/Edge) they both got way more time then your average RAW singles match. I really believe that if a lot of the guys in the 'E whose workrates we bitch about got more time to actually work a full match they could easily impress us. So Vince, please keep RAW similar to it was last night: half wrestling, sports entertainment. I can stand to hear you talk about yourself for 10-15 minutes if it means I'm gonna get multiple quality matches every night.

I think people are more tired with Cena's push at this point rather than his in ring ability.
Cena's gotten pretty active in the ring in the last 6 months, he's not really so dull to watch anymore. I like his selling now also, he gels pretty well with the classic heel dominated match style (Commonly worked by Edge and Orton).

I agree.... Both Cena and Orton have really stepped up their game in the ring since Unforgiven last year. The fact that matches are getting more time on tv is really helping the overall match quality.

Frankly, I think Cena is getting really good, and Orton has it in him to be great.

I wouldn't go so far to say he's getting good, but he's gotten a lot better at being carried.

^ So based on your opinion, what about last night then? If Cena and Orton both suck in the ring, who carried who? Because the match was very good.
Personally I dont really believe in being "carried" It takes two to put on a good wrestling match.

Ever since Unforgiven, I have a greater deal of respect for Cena to walk into arenas, eat crap, and like it.

Or probably it was the first wrestling match staged with robots... Finlay and Benoit controlled them from the back Seriously, I enjoyed the match. Orton isn't as bad as many like to think, and Cena, while annoying as nails on a chalkboard, has been improving. I still hate the Hoganesque comeback though... Tone it down, get rid of the 5-knuckles shuffle, and I can tolerate Cena. Edge has been delivering since late 2004, so he having a good match isn't a big news

Everyone forgets that he was pretty much being groomed for the main event since 2002 on Smackdown having Main event quality classics with Kurt Angle, as a face no less... He just got boring once he shifted to RAw... he Just needed to Matt thing to get noticed...
