Almost every scrap of wrestling news these days is all over the internet before it happens. People who read dirtsheets and smark-type websites usually know the result of "big surprises" before they happen. But occasionally you get those moments which are so well-kept, that not even a single dirtsheet has inside info. For example, when Eric Bischoff appeared on Raw in 2002, absolutely NOBODY saw it coming. There were no rumors, no "bakstag nooz", nothing. The one guy that you NEVER thought you'd see on WWE programming suddenly appears out of the blue.
Are there any other moments like these that you guys would like to share?

Shawn Michaels return on Raw in 2002 to joing the nWo. I was in the crowd that night and was just online before we left and up to that point there was nothing at all related to HBK on any site.
When I saw the pyro they were setting up on the stage while Nash was talking, I thought Goldust, which would have been obvious at that time. Then my friend said, is it Shawn Michaels? I just said, yeah right, like that'll happen.
And seconds later.....

They did a story on him and it sounded like they were bringing him back.

Mostly to have a surprise these days outside of someone appearing/leaving, the decision needs to be hotshotted or close to it.
For example Edge at NYR I'm guessing wasn't planned more than a couple days in advance, and it wouldn't surprise me at all if the decision was made just prior to the start of the PPV.
